Job Description
Summary:
A minimum of 6-8 years’ experience preferred; the Director, Search is responsible for the oversight of assigned client accounts and the direction of associated staff. They work with search directors to strengthen the client relationship and develop new business opportunities within the account. They are ultimately responsible for the successful delivery of these accounts and the revenue they generate. The Director crafts appropriate strategies, develops POVs and key strategic documents to provide thought leadership and drive innovation. .
Responsibilities:
• Develop, approve and oversee manpower estimates against assigned accounts in conjunction with Search Directors
• Understands financial implications of strategic recommendations and the effect on the company
• Analyzes search planning budgets, of assigned accounts, to identify strengths and weaknesses and ensures proper financial allocations
• Responsible for auditing out of scope work to ensure proper utilization and revenue
• Responsible for revenue generation on assigned accounts
• Meets with agency and account teams to provide in-depth strategic recommendations for current and potential clients
• When scoped in on specific accounts, reviews client reports to provide additional strategic recommendations
• Manages the overall day to day activity of associated Search Directors and liaises with strategists to ensure key strategies and vision are deployed
• Researches and participates in new business activities across their agency and within search
• Leads upper level client and agency relationships, and manages the overall relationship building process on accounts
• Manages all aspects of the relationship between the agency and GroupM Search respective of their assigned accounts
• Serves as an advisor to search directors and associated staff on related accounts
• Must understand the tactical implications and processes of recommended strategies
• Oversight of recommendations for division of budget - accounting for media spend, agency fees, tracking fees, etc.
• Owns the responsibility for the IO signatory role
Systems & Tools:
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in advertising, marketing, business administration, and communications
• Minimum of eight years’ experience preferred
• Comfortable working with budgets and numbers
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Exceptional organizational skills, multi-tasking capabilities and detail oriented
