About the role:
We are seeking a passionate, innovative strength of nature to lead the central marketing team at AdRoll, a beloved brand with 10 years of heritage in the digital marketing space. This is a dream role for a senior level marketing leader to redefine the AdRoll brand as we push beyond our retargeting heritage into a fully fledged growth platform.
You will have the rare balance of having the creativity required to build a brand with emotional resonance but also knows how to use the marketing team as a revenue generation machine. The core AdRoll customer is ambitious small and mid-sized e-commerce businesses and so experience in building scaled programs targeting the small/mid sized business segment is important.
By way of background, AdRoll has over 35,000 customers, $300M in revenue and operations across 4 continents. AdRoll has a heritage as THE global leader in retargeting. Over the past several years, we have built out our product to be a lot more than just retargeting. We’ve launched an email product, a prospecting product and continue to innovate in new ways to grow our customers' businesses.
You will directly lead 10 people with the potential to grow through the year. Additionally, you will also indirectly manage the international marketing teams in Dublin, Sydney, and Tokyo ensuring that there is the right balance between brand consistency and local execution.
Responsibilities:
• You will set a strategic direction for AdRoll’s position in market using competitor, industry and customer analysis to define a positioning strategy that makes AdRoll win customer for the long term
• Work with the product team to ensure that this positioning is brought to life through our product
• Build an amazing brand identity that brings our positioning to fore front through all marketing touchpoints
• Refine and lead our go to market strategy ensuring that both new and existing products are set up for success through the creation of marketing plans and arming the sales team with the tools they need to win customers
• Plan marketing campaigns to bring our message to market that gets cut through with a balance of emotion and practicality
• You will lead a team of 10 people across brand marketing, product marketing, and demand generation
• As the VP of marketing in a marketing company, you will represent AdRoll to the outside world, including press, analysts, and customers
Requirements:
• At least 10 years experience in B2B marketing
• Fluid knowledge in Martech and Adtech environments
• Deep expertise in building scaled marketing programs targeting small and mid-sized businesses
• Understanding and experience in bringing a new brand and product to market
• Management experience multi-layered teams of circa 10+ people
• Preferred hands on PR experience
