Description
Are you 1 part executional expert, 1 part strategically savvy? If so, read on. Being a VP, Management Director (VP, AD) for the FCB Health network of companies means you’re representing the agency’s senior level account management on a day-to-day basis for your clients and your team. You are someone that knows how to plan and drive projects through but you’re also who the client knows they can lean on for strategic recommendations along the way. You are the captain of your team and you happen to clean up real well, too!
The essential functions of a VP, AD:
• Business development – Can you pitch? Do you upsell? Have you mastered the art of persuasion?
• Supervise and develop account team – This one is quite obvious, but do you enjoy leading and mentoring a team of starry-eyed account folks?
• Focus on the “big picture” – Without getting too philosophical here, there’s a time for putting your “head down” and getting to work, but more importantly, there’s always a time for looking up and reflecting. Do you ask yourself the hard questions? Consider how your contributions not only impact the piece(s) of business you’re on, but how are you contributing to the overall culture and success of the agency as a whole?
In this role, you specifically:
• On average, oversees client business with revenue(s) up to $5MM
• Lead the team (or multiple teams) on strategic/business development and tactical implementation
• Develop and maintain strong client relations with all levels of client management asappropriate
• Throw pizza parties
• Identify and resolve client conflicts quickly and efficiently (aka without having to “take it outside”)
• Proactively challenge and address client needs for long-term, future (i.e., looking out for their big picture)
• Identify and cultivate new business opportunities for the agency
• Win awards
• Possess an intimate knowledge of the category markets to which your brands belong
• Analyze and extract pertinent findings/issues from all available marketing data
• Ensure that all agency efforts and creative campaigns are in the best interest of building the brand and support the brand positioning
• Change people’s lives
• Train, develop, and appropriately delegate to account team
• Set overall goals and timing and conduct performance reviews on staff
• Moonlight as a cheerleader by encouraging and providing growth and development to team members
• Perform at our jam-sesh if you feel so inspired
• Lead creative and account teams in the development of breakthrough creative
• Develop and manage staffing plan to ensure appropriate resource allocation and utilization
• Routinely monitors financial performance of accounts to maximize income generation and provide realistic forecasting to the group
• Oversee contract development and overall budget development and approval
• Liaise with internal senior managers, scientific services, finance, etc. to ensure optimal client satisfaction, business development, and income potential

Qualifications
What we require:
• Bachelor’s degree, 10-12 years relevant industry experience or a equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong analytic and strategic abilities
• Excellent interpersonal skills that encourage collaboration promote enthusiasm and encourage team cooperation
• Previous supervisory experience
