Overview:
The Associate Director, Diversity & Engagement - Programs + Partnerships will report to the Chief Diversity & Engagement Officer and work to drive our global Diversity and Engagement strategy. In this position, we are seeking someone with strong interpersonal skills, a bias toward action, a head for business and a heart for service. The winning candidate has a proven track record of success leading, managing and coordinating projects/initiatives in large organizations. He/she has an entrepreneurial spirit and can effectively manage multiple constituents and competing priorities.
Roles/Responsibilities:
External Relationship Management
• Manage relationships with external thought-leaders and partner organizations to achieve desired results related to sourcing, engaging and recruiting diverse talent.
• Identify opportunities to collaborate with diversity related community or government associations in each region.
• Identify methods to amplify the MWG brand as a destination employer for diverse talent across multiple on and offline channels.
• Devise and deploy action plans to create strategic partnerships with diverse alumni organizations or programs that support emerging talent through scholarships and
entry-level internships.
• Lead and coordinate efforts to submit MWG work or employees for awards or public recognition in the area of Diversity and Talent Engagement.
Internal Relationship Management
• Build and manage strong relationships with global HR teams, business leaders, recruiting managers, employees, and community-based organizations. Serve as liaison and supportive partner to each group, providing guidance, feedback and fresh ideas to help advance each agency’s diversity goals.
• Understand and track global diversity and inclusion efforts in order to identify and share scalable solutions that benefit multiple agencies seeking effective diversity practices.
• Serve as primary liaison between IPG and MWG to manage activities related to meeting IPG network goals.
• Serve as liaison and advisor for internal communities (ERGs, BRGs, etc).
• Represent MWG at diversity events, conferences, and career fairs.
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure project and program success.
• Drive engagement and continued development of the Global Diversity Coalition; lead monthly calls in partnership with Coalition leader.
Program/Project Management
• Support the implementation of MWG D&E strategy and action plans; manage resources, develop tools and increase employee engagement to advance the global D&E agenda across the MWG network.
• Lead and communicate weekly project status meetings; adjust resources and priorities accordingly.
• Develop and manage multiple projects/campaigns from initial conception through implementation and deployment.
• Track ROI for all programs, using specific KPIs to understand the effectiveness, gather key insights and continually optimize based on results.
• Partner with internal stakeholders such as Corp Comm, PR, Operations, and Finance all relevant programs and events.
• Forecast and manage annual D&E budget; gathering approvals as needed.
• Track diverse hires across MWG from diversity organizations and help connect diversity candidates with recruiters/agencies in the network.
• Meet with diverse employees and candidates on a regular basis for informational meetings and quarterly check-ins (on an as need basis).
Additional projects and assignments as needed.
Required Skills:
Experience/Capabilities/Skills Required:
• Passion for diversity, inclusion and talent engagement.
• Strong project management skills, including defining the project, identifying required resources, monitoring of deliverables, building timelines, managing budgets and performance against objectives.
• Ability to think strategically and act tactically.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives and projects serving various audiences within a complex matrix organization.
• Ability to work autonomously and deliver results in a fast-paced work environment.
• Inspiring team player with a strong work ethic.
• Excellent communication and written skills - experience communicating with and building relationships with cross-functional internal teams and external partners.
• Tech savvy: skilled in navigating social and digital platforms.
• Must possess strong organizational skills.
• Must be able to work independently using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google docs.
• Strong interpersonal skills, high EQ and cultural competency.
• Strong attention to detail and capacity to manage a high volume of work.

Availabile to work evenings and weekends
Some domestic travel may be required.
Required Experience:
Minimum Qualifications:
• Work experience:
◦ 7-8+ years professional experience in a service related organization leveraging skillsets such as account management/brand management/client services, project management, production, strategy, and strategic event management.
◦ Advertising industry knowledge and agency experience is a plus but not required.
◦ Global experience is a plus but not required.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Masters degree preferred but not required.
