Associate Director, Marketing Analytics
OMD Entertainment, an Omnicom Media Group agency, is seeking an Associate Director, marketing analytics, as part of the Data & Analytics team, servicing the Walt Disney Studios account. The ideal candidate should be able to shift from strategic thinking and process development to hands-on execution in this highly visible role. This is an exciting opportunity to work with this world class brand and stellar product from Pixar, Marvel, and Lucas film.

OMDE’s Data & Analytics practice is at the forefront of this process, helping to uncover these insights via sophisticated data analysis.
As an Associate Director at OMDE you will manage team resources, implement process improvements and provide mentorship to a team of analysts, but also work with the account team consisting of media planners and strategists to shape the strategic direction of your client’s marketing strategy through data-driven insights.
Areas of Responsibility:
• Overseeing the development and execution of measurement & testing strategies
• Develop robust customer segmentation and audience insights to drive future marketing strategies & tactics.
• Establish and/or refine processes across the organization as it relates to data usage for planning, segmentation and analysis
• Championing the use of online & offline data, proper data collection and data readiness across multiple data sources including DMP, Data Lakes and walled garden ecosystems
• Be an expert storyteller through the use of data & insights while providing clear recommendations for internal teams and our clients
• Anticipating client’s needs and proactively developing solutions to address them
• Ensuring timely follow through on all scheduled and ad hoc deliverables
• Recommending research that will aid in the consumer insight gathering and strategic process
• Identifying opportunities to continuously improve processes
• Leading, mentoring and training analysts
• Presenting reports, POVs and other materials to clients on a regular basis over the phone and in person
Requirements
• 5-7+ years of experience in a quantitative data driven field
• A passion for marketing, research, data & analytics
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work across cross-functional teams and well with others
• Ability to manage and prioritize a number of concurrent tasks
• Ability to clearly explain complex technical ideas to multiple audiences both verbally and in writing
• Comprehensive knowledge of ad tech and research techniques (how they work, and how to troubleshoot)
• Ability to move beyond descriptive analytics and employ more sophisticated techniques (predictive & prescriptive analytics)
• Leading, mentoring and training analysts; setting individual goals and measuring individual success / performance
• Ability to identify issues related to quality of work and/or work load, and re-allocate resources to address these issues
• Delegating and managing projects, creating learning agendas and opportunities for junior staff
Desired Technical Skills
• Experience with one or more of the DMP vendors (BlueKai, Neustar, etc.)
• Fluency in SAS, SPSS, R or other advanced analytics software packages
• Fluency with concepts of database design and SQL (including front-end visualization tools like Tableau and other market-leading alternatives)
• Experience with marketing technology stacks (DSP, DMP, CMS, CRM, Analytics, etc.)
• Experience with one or more multi-touch attribution vendor(s)
• Experience in ad-serving and web analytics tools (Google DFA, Atlas, Google Analytics, Omniture, etc.)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Familiarity with web technologies including CSS, HTML and Javascript
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, economics, engineering, information management, social sciences or business/marketing related fields. Advanced degree (MBA / MS) is preferred.
