Description
the position:
Reporting to the SVP General Manager, CRM, this role is an integral part of the FCB Chicago team as it will provide the foundation for all future marketing technology and campaign work for our clients. This role will act as a marketing technology thought-leader and integrator, helping design solutions that are based on clients’ needs and objectives, leveraging existing technology where it exists and/or recommending alternative best-in-class design options.
• Develop world-class technology solutions that integrate data from multiple channels and platforms, including responsive web and mobile experiences.
• Validate innovative technology approaches through rapid prototyping.
• Build, lead and manage a technical consulting and implementation team as required based on client project scopes.
• Participate in experimental development and experimental technologies.
• Leading technical decisions, scope and planning for upcoming projects.
• Organize team/code reviews and maintain code quality and best practices across the development team.
• Engage in the entire product development cycle to understand business objectives, user goals, and lead the architecture of solutions that appeal to our clients.
• Collaborate with developers, data analysts, creatives, strategists and digital project managers.
• Act as a lead marketing technology consultant for the agency, providing strategic technical leadership to current clients and prospects
Qualifications
• Strong expertise in technology and systems integration with the ability to learn, understand and apply new technologies.
• Solid experience with web technologies including modern JavaScript, HTML, CSS and interacting with RESTful APIs.
• Solid understanding of responsive/mobile-first design, web standards, UI/UX best practices.
• Hands-on experience in implementing marketing automation platforms including Salesforce (ET), Adobe, IBM, and others, preferably with some basic knowledge of HTML coding
• Hands-on experience creating and maintaining campaigns in campaign management / marketing automation tools including Salesforce (ET), Adobe, IBM, and others, preferably with some basic knowledge of HTML coding
• Hands-on experience using reporting tools (e.g. Cognos, MicroStrategy, MS SQL Server Reporting Services / Analysis Services), preferably with some hands-on experience in using a database platform (e.g. MS SQL Server, mySQL)
• Understanding of Accessibility best practices, standards and testing on different devices.
• Demonstrable understanding of data regulatory measures and their impact on campaigns (will work in close collaboration with FCB Strategic Analytics): e.g. CAN-SPAM Act, CASL, PII/PHI laws.
• Experience with cross-browser development within a large web application.
• Understanding of client-side performance and browser performance profiling.
• Proven analytical and problem solving abilities.
