Director, Participation Strategy
Job Description
The Director, Participation Strategy is responsible for driving the successful planning and implementation of eCommerce, content and digital strategies across one of the agency’s key clients.
The Director, Participation Strategy has years of digital and eCommerce experience. She/he is a thought-leader in the space and stays abreast of industry trends in online shopping and digital executions. She/he will be looked to as a valuded partner of client’s business, in addition will be integral in agency digital and eCommerce initatives to drive digital transformation efforts across accounts.
The ideal candidate is data and sales driven, yielding to results and insight rather than historical precedent. She/he is senior client-facing and will strive for close collaboration with client teams as well as inter-agency relationships.
The Director, Participation Strategy will manage and mentor a team of junior-level strategists. The candidate should instill a strong sense of expertise, motivation and collobration across the digital strategy group and account teams including Account, Creative, Project Management and the Client Leadership Team.
Experience/Skills Required:
• 8-10 years in digital/content – seasoned digital strategist with well rounded digital knowledge; ecommerce-specific experience desired
• eRetailer background and experience (Amazon, Walmart preferred)
• DTC Commerce experience a plus
• Strong in content strategy and vendor management
• Expert-level quant and qual analysis is required.
• CPG and/or shopper marketing experience a plus
• Has experience on integrated efforts/collaboration with other disciplines
• Experience working with partner agencies
• Exceptional presentation skills, both writing and delivering
• Strong organizational skills, ability to juggle and prioritize multiple brands/projects
• Strong team building skills – enjoys working with large/multi-faceted teams; strong client relationship-building skills
• Ability to simplify complex business issues, draw insights for marketing from technical info and data
