Summary
Leads the Analytics team by providing analytics-based strategic insights and direction to aid in the development of reporting and analysis for clients. Working closely with the Account Management, Creative, Strategy, Research, and Media teams, provides an internal consultative perspective on analytical tools, measurement, and testing. Supports the agency new business opportunities as requested.
What You'll Do
Thought leader to account teams (agency and client) on campaign planning and campaign effectiveness, with respect to:
◦ Define key metrics and set goals
◦ Develop test and control methodologies and design
◦ Independently analyze and interpret media performance
• Lead the development of analytical plans and strategies to improve the effectiveness of communications programs
◦ Function as the subject matter expert for analytical tools and techniques, including testing
◦ Research innovative and cutting edge techniques and methodologies
• Support agency new business process, as directed
◦ Download and verify quality of data using Excel
◦ Highlight trends in data and communicate to team
◦ Complete complex analysis and create compelling visualizations for data
• Responsible for the management and development of the Analytics team
• Lead the Analytics team in reviewing reports, data sets, create PowerPoint presentations, data visualizations, report outputs
• Lead day-to-day analytics projects and assignments, including:
◦ Resource allocation
◦ Project plans
◦ Report prototypes
• Recommend and design appropriate analytic methodology and approach based on
◦ Business research
◦ Discussions with the team
◦ Feedback from account and client teams
• Review client deliverables for accuracy and manage to timelines
• Review the work of Analytics team members and provide feedback and recommendations
• Enter time reports once a week, at a minimum, and expense reports within 10 days of incurred expense
• Approve time once a week, at a minimum, and approve expenses within 2 days of receipt
• Handle other duties as assigned by supervisor
Our Ideal Candidate
• Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field
• Minimum of 8+ years of experience performing and leading analytics initiatives
• Strong analytical skills and experience designing analytical solutions to address business problems
◦ Proficient knowledge of SAS, SPSS, SQL, or R
◦ Critical thinking; draw conclusions, find creative solutions, structured problem-solving approach
• Ability to build relationships across team, departments, vendors and clients
◦ Collaborate and communicate complex, technical concepts to non-quantitative audience
• Ability to effectively manage timelines and deliverables of multiple projects simultaneously
• Advanced degree in quantitative field such as Statistics, Social Science Research, Economics, etc.
• Strong reporting background, from conception to delivery (Excel/VBA, Tableau, Spotfire, etc.)
• Proficient in multi-channel analytics, including web analytics
• Strong foundation in data mining/statistical techniques
• Strong understanding of data base management
