The Weber Shandwick New York office is seeking a Vice President with healthcare product communications experience to join its Healthcare Group.

Primary Responsibilities
A VP is responsible for managing client and inter-agency relationships, playing a critical role in determining the future and long-term success of our Healthcare Practice. For this role, she/he will be responsible for supervising one of our largest pieces of business with multiple work streams and team members across offices, and being an active member of a broader senior leadership team for the account. Responsibilities include:
• Being the day-to-day client contact and flag, triage and manage client issues.
• Developing and ensuring execution of plans and integrated communications recommendations (including digital and social media strategies) for clients.
• Collaborating with the media team to guide strategy and secure quality stories in media of importance to client goals.
• Developing and delivering client presentations.
• Keeping client programs on schedule and ensure all deadlines are met within set budget parameters.
• Building, nurturing and expanding client and team relationships.
• Coaching junior team members; directly managing 2-3 members of the healthcare practice
• Ensuring efficient, effective project management and client satisfaction.
• Actively participating in the cultural activities of the practice; be a positive and inspiring role model for others
• Participating in new business development for the group Building the right teams, including reviewing resumes and interviewing candidates.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
• Minimum: Bachelor's Degree
• 7+ years of relevant experience in the healthcare sector
• Some healthcare PR agency experience is required (regulatory & data experience)
• Strong project management skills (e.g., managing budgets and plan rollouts)
• Able to communicate clearly and persuasively both orally and in writing
