Technology Director
Critical Mass is looking for a Technology Director to lead the technology team and implementation of a global marketing platform out of or London office. You’ll partner closely with our creative, strategy, and marketing science leads to create amazing work for a leading automotive brand. Ideal candidates will have automotive category experience, but more importantly a passion for bringing the best of what’s possible to to creating engaging and effective user experiences. There’s a lot of opportunity on the account, so you'll work with the VP Technology overseeing the account to capitalize on those chances.
The Director role will oversee the development of the European platform, and all new work. We are looking for someone who is driven and has experience developing and rolling out global marketing platforms backed by Adobe AEM. You’ll still be close to the code at times - creating POCs, performing code reviews, etc., but you’ll also have an onsite leadership team consisting of all the skills necessary to create and deliver the digital experience as well as a supplemental technology teams in different timezones.
Responsibilities
• Lead the platform technology team to create an engaging, effective and robust platform
• Work with the Technology Leads to ensure the team, projects, and systems are all that they can and should be
• Develop and document high-level technical designs such as architectural diagrams
• Contribute to organic business development, research, and requirement gathering
• Act as in-house expert on various technologies and assist others in learning these technologies
• Communicate and share the team’s achievements with inside and outside the company
Required Skills
• Experience creating premium digital experiences in an advertising agency setting
• Experience with Adobe AEM (6.0 and above) or equivalent CMSs
• Experience with leading distributed teams utilizing modern communication tools
• Strong communication skills - both written and verbal
• Familiarity with Atlassian project management tools, i.e. Jira, Confluence
• Ability to communicate with clients daily, acting as a representative of Critical Mass from a technical & business development standpoint
