Connect - Global Product Director, Advertising Research
Ipsos Connect is a global leader in brand communications research, providing actionable insights to some of the worlds’ leading companies to help their brands grow.
One of the key areas we support clients is in creative developing, from initial concept to final finished film advertising testing.
The Connect Global Products and Innovation group (P&I) is continually developing new research methods to support clients’ creative development decision-making, leveraging advanced data science and a range of neuroscience measurement systems.
The P&I group is seeking to hire a Global Product Director for Advertising Testing to support the design, development, maintenance and deployment of new and existing services in the Connect Portfolio. This will include supporting the development of conceptual designs for solutions, the commercial proposition and leading the specification and build of products with external partners, internal technical and IT groups and analytical frameworks and client deliverables with Research Analytics. The role will also support the maintenance and deployment of products.
The role will be based in the USA, reporting into the Global Head of Advertising Testing, based in the UK.
Role Responsibilities:
Innovation & Development:
• Support in the creation and management of R&D plans, budgeting and execution of trials
• Work with operations groups on processes for end to end delivery and successful roll-out and implementation across countries
• Market landscaping vs. competitive products and the Ipsos Connect portfolio to define target pricing and margins with Finance
• Support with the preparation of internal and external communications to enable commercialization of new initiatives
• Collaborate with the knowledge management to create training materials and execute training programs on product solutions.
Maintenance:
• Maintain, improve or create documentation to support the business
• Creation and maintenance of Product Packs for Client Service (CS) teams to leverage
Support:
• Support general training and communication to CS teams worldwide on product positioning, client business issues it addresses, competitive advantage, etc.
• Provide ad hoc internal and external consultation to CS teams on the best practice application of new testing solutions
Required Skills:
Required Profile and Experience:
• Minimum of 8+ years’ experience in brand communications and/or media measurement research in a research or media services agency
• Specific experience in advertising pre-testing and creative development research
• Focused experience in quantitative research and use of statistical techniques to measure the impact of advertising executions on brand perception and sales outcomes
• Experience and aptitude for custom research design and considerations in scaling custom approaches into consistent programs of research or global extensions
• Past experience in leveraging Neuro metrics in scalable research solutions, preferably in pre-flight Advertising Testing
Preferred:
• Proven experience of experimenting with different techniques and research designs to enable new and incrementally valuable insights for advertisers in creative development
• Past experience of digital pre-testing and leveraging different technologies to measure the value of advertising exposure in-context
• Examples of published thought leadership in creative development
