The Senior Resource Manager is a partner for multiple groups, and is focused on optimizing agency billability and utilization. The Manager is expected to determine and implement Resource Management processes and advise on resource allocation decisions. The Senior Resource Manager also participates in Operations-wide projects/initiatives, and may lead a workstream. The individual must be able to handle multiple priorities and communicate objectively and confidently. The Manager will have exposure to sensitive and confidential information necessitating diplomacy, discretion and sound judgment.
Responsibilities:
• Lead all resourcing discussions across 2-3 departments
• Oversee resourcing across 2 departments (with support of Associate RM)
• Communicate allocation issues and propose solutions
• Consult on skill levels and needs
• Identify gaps in what people are working on and what we are getting paid for across allocated departments
• Track utilization for each department – pulling together top-level reports regularly
• Support Director in Agency wide initiatives (when applicable)
• Identify potential new hires with support of department heads, and escalate to Director
Qualifications:
• 5-7 years of agency, Resourcing, Staffing, Human Resources, Consulting and/or Project Management experience.
• Excel and pivot table proficiency
• Proficiency in other MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint)
• Experience with typical Resource Management tools (a plus)
• Strong interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills
• Strong consultative, business partnering and influencing skills; able to establish high trust and credibility
• Ability to remain calm in a fast paced, quickly changing environment
