The Director of Data Science and Digital Analytics leads a team of Data Science Managers, Data Scientists, and Digital Analysts working directly with 360i clients, media teams, and account leadership to improve marketing programs’ performance using advanced analytics. Core responsibilities include driving product/service innovation, project management for major department initiatives, training other team members on new tools and techniques, and contributing to new business pitches.
The Director role is hands-on and requires extensive experience with machine learning, statistics (e.g., testing & modeling), cloud computing, and business intelligence. The ideal candidate for this role has expertise using sophisticated statistical and machine learning tools to develop multivariate statistical tests, time-series forecasts, and segmentation models to solve real-world business problems. S/he must be able to manage complicated projects involving multiple internal/external stakeholders and deliver high-quality work on-time. Advanced Excel, R or Python, SQL Server scripting, and cloud computing (AWS) skills are essential. A curious, consultative mindset and the ability to effectively communicate technical work to non-technical audiences are also important. Digital media experience is preferred but not required
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience using advanced analytical techniques to solve business problems
• 3+ years of analytics team leadership experience including responsibility for planning, resource management, and final deliverables
• 2+ years of business intelligence experience with a focus on report development, data visualization, and producing actionable insights
• Advanced Excel skills with a focus on formula development and model building
• Advanced R or Python programming skills for data manipulation and analysis
• Intermediate / Advanced querying and scripting skills in SQL
• Intermediate / Advanced AWS skills with a focus on large dataset manipulation and creating analytics workflows
• Demonstrated background in quantitative analysis, especially concepts related to statistical and/or machine learning analysis
• Ability to multi-task and communicate effectively across teams in a deadline-driven atmosphere
• Experience with digital marketing is preferred but not required
