Connect - Global Product Implementation Director, Automation Platforms
The Global Product Implementations Director is responsible for the automation of the execution platforms for the various Ipsos Connect’s global products. The role coordinates all actions required for building the business case, specifications development, testing of the delivered solution, identifying the success metrics and operational risks and operational deployment of the platform once completed.
The role works with the Global Products Innovation group, as internal client, MIS, as technical execution team, IIS, as fieldwork and reporting vendor and external technology parties, as needed. The role does not manage the actual development, which is executed either by MIS, IIS, or external parties, as the specific product’s specs require.
This role will cover both Ad Testing and Ad Tracking business lines in what data delivery is concerned.
Specific responsibilities:
• Coordinates the product automation program within Connect, by means of a sponsors group, which is to be brought together regularly for status updates and decision making for unexpected developments;
• Works with the Product Implementation Directors in his/her team and with the Products Innovation owners of the prospect products for automation to build the initial business case for automation;
• Builds up the business specifications of the automation platform, by using inputs and outputs designed by the Product Implementation team.
• Coordinates the discussions with IIS about the execution parameters of the automated platform, with an objective to define the scope of automation.
• Submits the business specifications for translation into technical specs to the IT Catalyst and works closely with this role until the final approval of the platform’s technical specs;
• Approves the technical specs;
• Designs the success metricsfor evaluating the solutions proposed by the vendors selected by the IT catalyst;
• Coordinates the development of the visual mocks-up of the solution sought; seeks approval of the mock ups by the product’s sponsors within Global Connect.
• Coordinates UAT and musters working teams supporting these products according to the needs of the each specific project by tapping into the Product Innovation, Research Excellence and GMU teams of the Connect organization; ensures all stakeholders and users are represented in the UAT programs and sign off the final “product”;
• Designs product platform performance metrics and implements them in an automated fashion;
• Effectively deploys the platform in production by working closely with the Product Implementation Director who owns the respective product. Builds training material for users and trains the users on specific online or f2f sessions organized for this purpose.
Other responsibilities:
• Applies macro PM knowledge to ensure projects achieve their business and financial goals; builds and publishes detailed project plans for cross functional teams
• Manages the budgets for all developments for which he/she is responsible;
• Devises RACIs and Process flows for the project level execution process once the solutions are deployed
• Serves as a specialist consultant in major pitches requiring specific reporting solutions and assesses the feasibility of providing custom solutions as needed;
• Identifies and drives process improvements for a continuous optimization of the execution.
Required Skills:
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience on a job involving automations and optimizations of processes
• Minimum 5 years of product cantered experience, either in sales, or execution;
• Track record of proficiency in working effectively with senior management, across teams, across working cultures;
