ACCOUNT DIRECTOR
BANKSIDE; £ COMPETITIVE
REPORTING:
Reports to Client Partnership Director, CDM London.
ABOUT US:
CDM London have had a new lease of life. Overlooking St Pauls and The Shard from the 5th floor of Omnicom’s Bankside HQ, the sleeping giant of the London agency world has awoken.
A 2-year turnaround at CDM London has resulted in a true agency rebirth. Starting with some of the most talented people around, CDM London has become the fastest growing agency in London, consistently building strong client relationships to produce great work, resulting in a burgeoning creative reputation and a flourishing and growing business. Wakey wakey.
This renaissance has been built on the values on which CDM was founded in 1984: Substance, Style, Conviction & Grace. We believe in our values; live our values; and evaluate ourselves and each other on our values, defining how we work with each other, and with our clients, to provide a full range of multichannel marketing and creative services across the health and wellness industry and across all audiences worldwide.
Substance
• We’re in the business of communicating ideas about health. So we insist on, and value, substance. This means understanding medicine. Knowing the data. Digging into science. Appreciating what it’s like to be a patient. And surrounding ourselves with those who can help us learn and understand even more.
Style
• We believe in bringing style and creativity to everything we do. Because even though we live in the world of healthcare (where substance truly matters), we still have to compete to be heard. Creativity is a powerful and necessary business tool that can give brands – and our clients – a meaningful edge.
Conviction
• We believe that medicine is a powerful force for good. It can ease suffering and save or extend human life. But fighting disease takes more than great medicine, it also takes great communication. That’s why we have such conviction about the work we do, the brands we create, and the clients we serve.
Grace
• We care deeply about our work and about the people we work with. Civility, dignity, decency, and respect are what we expect from ourselves and from each other. We strive to be collegial partners and collaborators and do our best to navigate even the most difficult situations with grace.

At CDM, account people are part of our clients’ extended team. Totally integral to their business, you’ll get to know our clients (and their medics), proactively identify their needs and challenges, and deliver unexpected solutions that exceed expectations. We’re looking for an Account Director to lead one of the agency’s most important pieces of European business. With the opportunity to shape strategy for an established but dynamic portfolio.
We’re looking for someone who understands the nuances of working with “big pharma”, can manage contrasting clients with style and grace, and is excited by the unique challenge a project like this offers.
Reporting directly to a Client Partnership Director this role offers a really strong balance development and freedom – you’ll get the support you need with the autonomy to own projects and relationships. You’ll be at the big meetings and get asked the big questions. You’ll also be working directly with scientific, strategic and creative staff in a supportive, collaborative and creative environment.

Always seeking out solutions that work for all parties, you will use your experience and social understanding to influence both internally and externally. You are a collaborative team lead who thrives in a close team environment: someone who inspires loyalty and confidence and can unite people behind a shared goal.
You’ll also be a firm believer in the importance of making work fun. It’s advertising, right? If we’re not having fun, we’re not doing it right.
