Reprise - Director, SEM and Social
Position Summary
The Search Director serves as the primary day-to-day client contact on a specific piece of business. This role involves deep client vertical knowledge which leads to managing the Account Plan, thus attempting to further grow the client’s profitability for Reprise Media. Being well versed in the areas of search engine marketing is essential for this role.
Essential Functions
• Primary client contact and interface for the search business across SEM
• Primary contact for partner agencies for the search business across SEM
• Relationship liaison between the client, the partner agency and the search practice
• Develops client / partner agency presentations and leads all external communication on search strategy
• Develops search strategy in conjunction with peers in the search practice, who work on the campaigns
• Prioritizes, project manages and ensures the timeliness and quality of client deliverables
• Maintains a sound understanding of client and agency opportunity costs and growth opportunities
• Develops a deep understanding of the client business, relates this to the growth of the search practice and effectively communicates this to peers and seniors in the search practice
• Identifies up-sell and cross-sell opportunities through strategic and tactical campaign management, with detailed attention to profitability and client success
• Interpretation of client reports, with specific insight to testing validation and refinement of campaign strategies
• Support external Business Development and Marketing initiatives such as sales pitches, case studies, etc.
Qualifications
Education:
• Bachelor's degree required
• Concentration in Marketing or a related field is preferable
Work Experience:
• 5-8 years of experience in media/search within a search company/agency, advertising agency, direct marketing, cable/broadcasting or similar media environment. Experience in a previous search engine marketing role is preferred. SEO experience is a plus
Skills:
• Ability to judge and quantify results of advertising/promotional efforts placed on behalf of our clients (i.e., understand true value of ROI, understand/describe impact of results, compare actual results to needs of client) and the knowledge of how to apply this information in future campaigns.
• Senior level client negotiation and management skills with the ability to write clearly and to make lively, imaginative but substantive presentations
• Working knowledge of online performance tracking and brand measurement tools as well as leading edge media target profiling technology
• Well versed on the latest news within the industry that fuel opinions on latest trends for clients to consider
• Proven ability to represent company philosophies and expertise to external parties; including clients and partner agencies
• Continued enthusiasm towards the medium and the desire to constantly educate one’s self on the latest information
• Experience in growing, managing and inspiring internal search teams; strong leadership and administrative skills
• Strong interpersonal skills including clear communication skills and positive attitude
• Solid organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy when working with numbers
