Job Description
Title: Associate Director, Digital Planning
GroupM/Team IBM Media

Department – Digital Planning:
Team IBM Media has the most powerful tools ever created for managing the marketing process and you will have the opportunity to learn, use and cherish them (and also be able to explain them so that your mom can understand). Not everyone will be expected to write computer code but you will need to share common ground and common language and, sometimes, common tools. Some of these tools and technologies were created by IBM, some us here at GroupM and some by others. Promise - this is not some monolithic technology. It’s an ecosystem - a platform - of tools for our teams to use. This is why we can safely say that they are the most powerful tools ever created.

What we hope to build together:

You’re Day to Day:
• Day-to-day supervision of media plan including oversight of media strategy, media planning and execution details
• Work with analytics team to develop performance reporting and optimizations
• Lead and coordinate with members of the media channel disciplines (paid social, programmatic, paid search)
• Work with the Media Director and autonomously on all projects
• Oversee and foster cross-agency relationships with account, production, and outside partners
• Interface and present to clients on regular basis
• Perform as a leader with minimal supervision
• Train, motivate and develop Supervisors, Planner and Assistant Planner
System and Tools:
• Microsoft Office – Strong in Excel (ideally with a working knowledge of pivot tables), Word, PowerPoint
• Google AdWords (YouTube TrueView)
• Relevant third-party ad serving platform (i.e. Sizmek)
• Knowledge of digital creative implementation process, from asset delivery to trafficking
◦ Including but not limited to: rich media, test pages, mocks, videos, layered files, etc.
• Media Insertion/Reconciliation tools: Prisma
• Syndicated research tools: comScore, MRI, Kantar Stradegy, eMarketer, Nielsen, Pew, etc.
What you’ve already conquered:
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in advertising, marketing, business administration, and communications
• Minimum of four to five years of experience in digital media planning/buying, (including Programmatic, Paid Social and Paid Search) and a working knowledge of traditional
• Knowledge of ad serving tools, including analytics
• Exceptional organizational skills, multi-tasking capabilities, fast response times and strong attention to detail required
• Excellent verbal and written skills – have a strong POV when relaying information internally or to clients (including presentation skills)
• Resourceful problem solver
• Comfortable working with budgets and numbers and basic media math
