We are looking for a Product Director to join our Product Innovation team at Millward Brown. As such the candidate will contribute to the group’s goals by helping to shape up and bring to market the next generation of product solutions. To achieve this goal, the Product Director will work with internal analytical and product teams to build solutions that use various data sources to power analytical and data offerings. This candidate will be interfacing with other groups at Millward Brown, Kantar and WPP as well as external partners. It is expected that the Product Director will be able to independently assess, design and launch new offerings and solutions while working in collaboration with the product development teams and the rest of the organization. The right candidate will be responsible for taking the initiatives from ideation phase to execution and being internal and external ambassador for the offerings.

Integrated behavioral and attitudinal solutions help marketers identify, understand and engage consumers, plan and optimize media and increase total brand performance. Millward Brown Digital operates within Millward Brown North America and is part of Kantar, WPP’s data investment management division.
KEY OUTCOMES
Product Development : The Product Director will work in close collaboration with the senior product and organizational leads to scope and deliver key new product initiatives. He or she will engage with internal analytical and product teams to identify requirements and design the new product offerings. The ideal candidate will be able to independently drive the product building process with support from the teams involved and to deliver the offering in accordance to roadmap plans. The Product Director is responsible for communicating and coordinating product features with key stakeholders: senior management, client service and sales teams. The candidate will actively work with the product marketing team to create collateral material around the new offerings and solutions.
Analytics : The candidate will need to possess good working understanding of statistical methodologies and tools related to data analytics, machine learning, media effectiveness measurement and activation. This person will work very closely with the internal analytical teams that develop new product methodologies and equally closely with the product development team to bridge the prototypes into delivered solutions.
Technical Experience : Building products involves working with teams focused on software development. In this role the successful candidate will have prior experience in working with technical roles such as business analysts, developers, DBAs, QAs etc. and will be able to bridge the business and technical side. While no programming skills are required the candidate needs to be able to navigate and understand the software development processes and drive its assigned items on the product roadmap.
Digital Advertising and Ad Tech : The ideal candidate for the role is someone with good understanding of the digital media ecosystem and has experience with building products in the ad tech space. Working understanding of measurement needs for digital campaigns from advertiser, agency and publisher angles and broader understanding of media and data buying platforms, such as DSPs and DMPs and standard data integrations in this space is a must have.
Communication Skills : The Product Director will need to have excellent communication skills in-person, over the phone and via email with internal partners and clients. He or she will be responsible for communicating key project considerations and elements (i.e. data sourcing, analytic methodology, technical issues) as well as the offering over all with team members.
CAPABILITIES
• Bachelor’s degree in analytical field required, Masters is preferred
• 3-5 years of experience in a product role related to data analysis, advertising targeting and effectiveness, ad tech integrations, DMPs and DSPs
• Experience in building digital products, processes and integrations and working with big data
• Good working understanding of data analysis concepts, tools and solutions
• Experience in analytical environments that use SQL, SAS, R, databases and ad tech integrations or related tools and concepts
• Experience in working with analytical and product development teams in the context of data driven product development
• Experience working with and relating to technical peers (software development, DBA, QA)
• Understanding of product requirements gathering, roadmap management and releases
• Ability to build and evaluate prototype products and processes and successfully convert them to products and ownership of existing products
• Good understanding of the Digital media industry, Ad tech and technology
• Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to meet goals
• Excellent communication and team work skills with focus on building and maintaining strong, positive internal and external relationships
