Account Director, Agency Sales - MRI
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented sales professional to grow within a successful division of GfK MRI, renown as the industry's leading consumer insights provider.
As an Account Director within our East Coast Agency/Advertiser team, you'll be tasked with growing partnerships with large media planning agencies, digital shops, and blue-chip advertisers in New York and New England. Beginning with a list of existing clients, you'll develop deep relationships and seek opportunities to help solve their media or marketing needs using our suite of premier products and industry leading solutions.

The position will be located in New York City and will require someone who is able to travel to clients as needed.
The successful candidate should have experience working in media research and/or ad agencies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for managing a list of large to medium-sized agency accounts in New York and New England.
• Through a consultative approach, generate revenue and achieve annual goals by upselling syndicated and custom solutions.
• Successfully prospect, network and develop new business opportunities in designated markets.
• Communicate effectively with clients both written and orally and provide excellent customer support.
• Negotiate annual or multi-year contracts and ensure maximum renewal rate.
• Develop insightful presentations and educate clients on current GFK MRI capabilities and resources.
Requirements Experience and Skills:
• Minimum 5 years selling market research (syndicated or custom) or experience within an agency or marketer
• Must have outstanding organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.
• Excel at presenting and telling a story with data.
• Working knowledge of syndicated consumer data a plus.
• Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills.
Education:
BA with a concentration in Communications, Marketing or Media.
