Director, CRM Strategy and Data Insights
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
This position is responsible for maturing and communicating the CRM insights and reporting strategy, and managing the day-to-day insights and reporting for Cossette CRM clients. The position reports to VP, Strategy. A strong analytical mindset and exceptional communication skills are needed to help unlock business insights, enable marketing decisions and drive value for our clients. The position provides strategic guidance and program analysis to clients, working closely with team members and external partners to deliver automated communications programs through email, direct mail, web and mobile channels that deliver ROI to our clients.
Experience and leadership in the execution of data-driven targeted marketing programs including planning, segmentation, test matrix design, tracking and post-analysis.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Lead, inspire, grow and retain analyst(s) on the Strategy team including coaching on “What, So-What, Now-What” and customer first insights as well as packaging of reporting product, and efficiency and delivery of product
2. Oversee the reporting to client and account teams to inform the next campaign brief/strategy and marketing planning cycle
3. Champion the best practices in reporting, analysis and database insights for CRM clients
4. Spotting valuable business insights for clients in data and analysis and driving them forwards with clients
5. Deliver thought leadership on CRM analytics and database strategy to clients
6. Work collaboratively with the CRM technical team to improve automated dashboards and reporting
7. Create compelling presentations of research, insights and analytics results for a variety of stakeholders
8. Convincing clients of the value of strategic services
9. Support the VP, Strategy in bringing solutions to the CRM reporting and insights from analysis on reports and feeding it to the Strategists
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 10+ years of experience in database marketing/analytics/CRM/digital
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field: Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Business Intelligence
• Experience with SAS, SQL, R, , BI (Tableau, MicroStrategy), UNICA
• Expert knowledge in direct marketing, campaign management, experimental design, customer analytics, CRM, segmentation, modeling, market research
• Loves data in all forms (CRM, Web/Digital, Social, Media) and hunting for insights
• The person that we are looking for will be confident, self-motivated, critical and persuasive
• Is an expert in data visualization, trends and shifts in data presentation
• Proactive packages insights and data to deliver valuable marketing intelligence to clients
• Automate recurring processes and find means for improving product
• Expert knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables) and PowerPoint
• Experience with Salesforce, Siebel CRM and other CRM platforms is an asset but not required
• Experience with marketing finance is a plus
• Experience in marketing communications environment with direct mail and/or email marketing programs preferably in an agency or supplier environment
• Bilingual a strong asset.
