Description
Do you check the headlines on your newsfeed before you’ve had even a sip of your morning coffee? Do you love working at the speed of real-time to spot and influence trends before they become news? Do you love gaming and consumer technology?
This position is in New York City but works with a large talented team with coworkers in Los Angeles and San Francisco!
Golin is hiring a digital-savvy PR Media Relations Director to drive national media strategy and execution that keeps our clients relevant with top media and influencers. You’ll build strong media and influencer relationships and always be on the lookout for opportunities in the lifestyle media space for a blue chip Consumer Electronic / Entertainment client that lead to coverage. You’ll transform product announcements, seasonal promotions, corporate milestones and data into compelling stories and craft interesting content that goes beyond the press release. You’ll develop innovative strategies to break through the noise and get our clients and their stories in front of the most important journalists and influencers. You’ll engage with media and influencers across a variety of channels, including social media, email and, yes, even a phone call or two. This work will support key campaigns throughout the year, but also an always on mentality to find relevant national media opportunities and build key media relationships.
If you haven’t met Golin, we’re a global PR and digital agency reinventing our industry. Every. Single. Day. Yet we still make time to create award-winning client work and have fun while we’re doing it. Our CEO describes us as, “the nice guys who will kick your @$$” and we’re happy to have earned that reputation thanks to a dynamic team, strong clients and an obsession with shaking up the status quo. Each day will be dynamic and full of strategic decisions, constantly changing priorities and creative discovery.
