The Director, Business Development will be a key contributor and partner in the evolving growth and success of Interbrand through the acquisition and delivery of new clients. As a driving force behind near and long-term revenue generation, you will proactively pursue and cultivate relationships with new and existing clients to deliver business solutions from conception to completion.
THE ROLE
◦ Lead the generation of revenue through new business outreach, sourcing business leads from current Interbrand prospects and direct clients, and prospective clients via targeted client specific solutions
◦ Manage, develop and drive client relationships from the opportunity lead phase to the contract phase
◦ Structure and negotiate pricing and close new business based on agreed upon targets and quotas
◦ Lead pitch process, including assessing initial opportunities, collaborating with key internal stakeholders on pitch deliverables, interfacing with prospective clients, and creating written RFP responses
◦ Lead the upfront analysis of the client’s business and their identified challenges.
◦ Champion Interbrand’s offerings and identify market opportunities
◦ Partner with Executive Director on forecasting new business
◦ Partner with Group Communications on marketing programs
◦ Keep abreast of trends and advancements and make recommendations on new POVs and thought leadership
◦ Collaborate with other Interbrand offices in OneFirm spirit
REQUIREMENTS
◦ 10+ years as an account/program/project manager/business development or related role in a client services organization
◦ Proven track record of growing new business
◦ BA required, MBA is an asset
◦ Collaboration and a sense of partnership, i.e. proven ability to lead and inspire integrated teams of professionals
◦ Unique blend of project management, analytical, quantitative and financial skills, together with the ability to think strategically and creatively, to the job
◦ Impeccable organizational and interpersonal skills
◦ Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
◦ Ability to thrive in a fluid and entrepreneurial environment
