About the Team:
The Maxus Digital Investment team is integral to the negotiations and dollars related to major digital media agreements.
The team is charged with fostering and leveraging key supplier partnerships in order to create incremental value against our clients core planning and buying investments.
The team is expected to stay at the cutting edge of digital landscape and industry investments and provide thought leadership and POVs, both internally to senior management and client planning / strategy teams as well as clients at all levels.
The Role Objective:
Primary (day-to-day) Responsibilities:
• Drives digital leadership and growth both within the DIG team as well as across the entire agency
• Manage and mentor a team of 3+ on highly advanced macro digital deals
• Seek and produce creative media solutions to achieve client goals and objectives; strong knowledge of large upfront deals, in particular digital video, is a plus
• Maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external contacts
• Analyze campaign results and recommend future adjustments to investment to drive greater efficiency and effectiveness in media planning and buying
• Develop formal presentations and case studies on macro client spending and industry trends
• Apprised of new technologies/trends with a keen understanding of digital landscape to incorporate into media driven solutions and business building ideas
• Manage/oversee monthly spend tracking and upfront deal pacing
• Work with contract / legal team to secure deals and campaign-specific terms, addendums, riders, etc.
Secondary Responsibilities:
• Create and publish marketplace rate tracking and spending trend reviews across the agency
• Contribution to the generation of pricing guarantees and benchmark information for new business pitches
• Work with the broader Maxus & GroupM investment teams to share knowledge and help to negotiate holding company deals

Experience
• Entertainment experience across film, television, and home entertainment a major plus
• Proven record of digital planning and buying experience
• Proven record of managing a team of more than three people
• Experience negotiating major digital deals and/or upfronts
• Experience of managing significant annual online budgets across multiple clients / brands
• Ability to manage accounts (or elements thereof) and attend and contribute to meetings unaided by more senior agency members
• High level experience of strategic use of digital media
• High level experience of digital brand best practise
• High level experience of multiple digital media channels (video, display, social media, emerging technologies etc.)
• High level experience and understanding of digital media technical operations
• Excellent working relationships with key online media owners
• Proven record of effective rate negotiation
• Excellent history of forging valuable client relationships
• Experience and understanding of industry research and planning tools (Comscore, Neilson)
• Working knowledge of industry trafficking and reporting tools (Doubleclick, Sizmek, Moat, IAS)
• Ability to confidently and clearly present work to the client, verbally and in document form
Knowledge
