About the Team
We are London’s leading Corporate Reputation team. We create commercial value by delivering campaigns and advisory work for companies and brands that operate in the full glare of the public spotlight and whose reputations shape their businesses.
We have deep industry expertise and advise on integrated media strategy, digital and content production, crisis planning & response, litigation & legal affairs, employee engagement & advocacy, research & analytics, capital markets and government affairs.
The team includes more than 75 consultants specialising in all areas of corporate reputation and includes former journalists, senior in-house practitioners, government advisors and industry specialists as well as dedicated sector experts.
The role
We are looking for a senior consultant to broaden the leadership of the Corporate Reputation team. Ideally, the successful candidate would have a journalistic background and experience in delivering media training and executive coaching.
The senior team comprises of specialist directors who oversee discrete practices such as Crisis and Issues and Real Estate, as well as senior consultants who provide advice and counsel across a range of sectors and do not specialise within a particular industry.
This is a strategic hire that will help us expand our existing offering in the market by cultivating business networks, developing IP and thought leadership, as well as providing high level consultancy to board level executives.
This person must be a strong leader with excellent people management skills, have a flexible and entrepreneurial attitude, demonstrate creativity, and the ability to provide high level consultancy to clients across a range of sectors.
The role will be split into three distinct areas:
1. Client leadership – advisory role providing senior counsel on key accounts. Leadership of account teams, advising C-level executives, managing corporate reputation programmes across international markets, developing multi-market campaigns and thought leadership for top brands. Ideally, a key element of the role will be to provide media training and executive coaching.
2. Business development – lead new business pitches, identify areas of potential revenue growth, support and develop Edelman’s IP and marketing initiatives, helping to develop our position in the market and maximising the role of the Edelman Trust Barometer for existing and potential clients.
3. People and commercial leadership – invest in and grow the talent within the team, strengthening our consulting capabilities and client service. Work in partnership with existing senior team to advance the commercial objectives of the business.
