Who we are looking for:
POSSIBLE is seeking a visionary and a craft season pro to lead the burgeoning Content Strategy team in the Seattle office. The Group Director, Content Strategy will develop the craft, manage a team of 10 strategists at various levels in their careers, and work to increase the prominence of the discipline throughout the POSSIBLE network. You must be a pro storyteller, turning creative, brand and digital strategies into culture and category transforming stories. You are passionate about the digital space, has an understanding across new and emerging media channels and an innate curiosity and drive to find compelling consumer insights. You are a respected leader, strong collaborator, great presenter, and motivates teams and clients forward with ease. The ideal candidate will be excited to guide their team members in setting plans and strategies for clients, finding new and interesting ways to understand the consumer and bring fresh ideas on how brands can come to life in the digital space. In this role, you will be a vocal evangelist and champion of the discipline to the Seattle office and US region within POSSIBLE and to clients. Finally, growth is a key part of this role, so the GD, Content Strategy will need have a proven record of growing talent and growing business through pitching to prospective clients.
What you’ll do:
• Work with clients to define business/brand goals and develop digital strategies based on consumer insights, trend analysis and business objectives.
• Work closely with the Account Director and cross-functional leads to provide content strategy direction across the digital ecosystem.
• Understand the key trends that drive consumer behavior and affect the way that brands communicate – always living at the intersection of brands, culture and creativity.
• Compile and conduct research for client teams as needed, which may include competitive data, emerging opportunities, and consumer insights.
• Facilitate and own all listening tool and vendor relationships.
• Advance POSSIBLE’s marketing capabilities by identifying trends, understanding the competitive landscape and crafting innovative programs.
• Responsible for representing the content strategy at POSSIBLE to clients and other agencies in meetings and leveraging our offerings to solve client problems across the digital space.
• Oversee or execute on key strategic deliverables for client & team; including execution of the CREATIVE INTELLIGENCE brief in partnership with the Planning, Marketing Science and Media leads.
• Provide thought leadership within our industry, for our clients, and for the agency
• Recruit and manage a growing team of content strategists within our Seattle office
What you’ll need:
• 10-12 years overall experience, including digital marketing and traditional content planning; creative agency experience preferred
• Has a vision on the future of content and how that vision is realized in an Agency environment
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills - able to work in an autonomous environment
• Passionate about marketing and digital strategy
• Highly collaborative; team player; experience working with large, global brands
• Experience working with C-level clients and across entire organizations
• Able to craft compelling strategic stories from a variety of inputs and information
• Comfortable working with creative, account, media, and analytics teams
• Bachelor’s degree
