Purpose of the Role
Develop the Custom Sector of GfK business within South Africa. Put in place market and sales and operational measurements required to attract key target market for this area of the business, accepting accountability for its sustainable growth. This role will also expand to cover any additional client base such as Automotive, Technical, Healthcare or Financial services with the custom area of the business where support may be required.
Key Result Areas & Key Performance Indicators
• Ability to advise on research methodology and products to suit client business objectives – drawing on internal technical/ marketing science resource where required and connecting with GfK regional and key account managers where appropriate
• Achieving profit and turnover targets set for the division, across personal budgets set across clients, through a highly skilled and motivated team.
• Ensure Data integrity, stability, and data output to suit client needs
• Provide strategic and relevant market insights to clients based on analysis of our market research data, ensure high quality of work whilst deadlines are met.
• Ensure team cohesion and added value is given to all aspects of the Ad hoc/Custom Research Division.

Requirements
• The person in this position should have a Diploma in a business field, and at least seven years previous work-related skill. Knowledge or experience in all processes of research methodology within the specified field Consumer Panels is essential and other research methodologies is beneficial but not mandatory. All processes related to Consumer Panels which includes Proposal Writing, QA design, Output Design, Analytics and Experienced Presentation Material to Client is essential. Experience in GfK or market research industry is helpful.
• Must be able to determine how to pro actively grow client base, be solution driven and how to cross sell services to meet client needs. Must be able to talk to others to convey information effectively and to resolve complex issues at a senior management level.
• The ability to interact positively with all GfK team members and to both lead and support where possible. Influencing and identify complex raw data quality issues and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions is an advantage.
• Must be able to determine causes of any process errors and decide what to do about it to resolve.
• Learn quickly when facing new problems and are comfortable handling risk and uncertainty.
• Essential to control, maintain and to meet budgeted targets as set out below or to ensure alternative steps are put in place to achieve agreed targets.
• KPIs will be reviewed quarterly by Department Head and monitored monthly through work delivery
