Digital Director, Paid Media Director
The Paid Media Director is responsible for our clients' paid media program, providing strategic counsel and media plan development whilst ensuring the team is operating at optimum level.
In line with our mission to promote, protect and evolve our clients’ brands and businesses, Edelman Australia is looking for a Digital Director, Paid Media with an entrepreneurial spirit, to inspire and drive innovation for the organisations we work with.
A natural communicator, you’ll build trust amongst our clients by providing them with exceptional counsel on the best digital solutions for their business. You’ll inspire both our clients and our staff about the possibilities of digital and paid media. You’ll be able to guide and drive the team to successfully implement best-in-class digital programs.
And while you might be new to the world of PR, you’ll have a keen interest in earned and social media, and be fascinated with how digital and paid media can complement the efforts of specialists in those disciplines.
To deliver on this vision, you’ll collaborate with leads from disciplines such as consumer brand, corporate reputation, creative, strategy, and production. And you will have access to the resources of a digital and content studio comprised of UX specialists, designers, tech developers, video producers, and social media specialists.

Experience and Skills Required
• Minimum seven years of experience in the Digital Marketing arena, with an emphasis on media buying and planning
• In depth knowledge of social and digital media landscape
• Client service background with strong oral communication and presentation skills
• Ability to manage and motivate junior media planners and buyers
• Proficient with third-party research, buying and measurement tools
• Ability to successful manage and grow multiple client accounts
• Strong aptitude for back end business growth and new business opportunities
• An innate ability to increase an agency’s network in the advertising industry space
• Understands role that PR and social media play in the overall communications marketing mix
• Passion for growing a media strategy practice that focuses on paid media in conjunction with community management and content strategy.
