The Vice President, Human Resources Business Partner of Voce | Porter Novelli will lead the human resource/talent services for Voce and will report directly to the EVP, Global Talent of Porter Novelli with a heavy dotted line to the Voce, Managing Director. This full time position has three purposes. The first is to lead the delivery of all fundamental HR services to the internal client population to drive exemplary performance and key knowledge about the agency. The second is to partner with senior management on the formulation and execution of Voce’s talent strategy at the business level and knit together Voce’s and Porter Novelli’s priorities. The third is to be an active participant on the global Porter Novelli talent/HR team and to lead and contribute to the ideas and execution of our global talent strategies. This person will serve as first point of contact for the business on all strategic and major people issues, and also lead and/or participate in projects at the corporate level to drive consistent HR strategy across all Porter Novelli offices specifically around integration, talent management, talent acquisition and retention.
Responsibilities
• Oversee and influence the wider HR function: talent acquisition and retention strategy, staff and leadership development, performance management, employee communications, compensation planning, employee relations
◦ Fundamental HR practices should be current and consistently delivered to the employee population in an accessible venue
• Partner with senior leaders to define and execute the business and talent agenda
• Collaborate with the business on all key talent decisions, providing advice appropriate to the immediate and longer term business needs
• Provide knowledgeable counsel and coaching to senior leaders in their roles and,
◦ Cultivate mid-level and up-and coming managers to evolve to leadership thinking and actions
• Leads the way locally, and works in partnership with the wider PN | HR team to build and advance learning and development programs
• Support organizational change and development in the business, influencing leaders to address complex and sensitive organizational design issues to ensure business success
• Spearheads the application of Voce/Porter Novelli’s compensation philosophy and processes to safeguard a system of reward and recognition based on ability
• Work with senior management to assess organizational effectiveness, and
◦ To drive change and culture management
• Propel and foster a learning environment through an insightful understanding of current needs and analysis of future possibilities
◦ Oversees local professional development program
• Brings about conflict resolution and/or negotiations around employee issues including senior level employment offers, separation agreements, terminations, etc.
• Guides management on employment law, compensation, benefits, and company policies

Minimum Qualifications:
• This position is best suited for someone who is already in a Director level position in HR and is ready to take on the responsibility of being a leader in a business. Essentially this means interested parties will have progressively broader HR experience including generalist and management of people, as well as experience working hand-in-glove with senior executive teams
• Broad knowledge of HR practices including compensation and employee rewards, performance management, recruitment, employee relations and employment law
• Organizational development experience including proven ability to influence and drive change with executive teams
• Demonstrated expertise in assessing organizational and industry trends and implementing HR solutions
• Experience coaching and counseling senior executives
• Established expertise handling sensitive employee issues
• Strong business acumen and proven ability to develop HR tools and programs to achieve the organization’s business goals
• Ability to drive and oversee talent acquisition and manage independent contractor process
• Some travel to/from the Sunnyvale office as well as travel to Winter Haven, FL and other Voce/Porter Novelli offices as needed
