Description
We’re looking for an innovative executive producer to lead production on large brands here at Edelman. You’ll be a creatively-focused producer versed in all aspects of content production and post. You’ll need extensive experience as a line producer to roll up your sleeves and pull together internal and/or external crews for scrappier shoots rolling in at the speed of social. Your big brand experience will be called upon for broadcast and web content shoots large and small.
As a mentor you’ll guide producers and content creators toward making creative for other channels including experiential, earned media, digital, and anywhere the creative expression lives.
Responsibilities
• Monitor project pipeline including oversight on production estimates, project status reporting, client reviews and final delivery.
• Ensure that productions deliver on-time and on budget.
• Responsible for the day-to-day details of all current and future productions on larger brands.
• Represent Edelman Production as a production expert at client and stakeholder meetings.
• Provide day-to-day management and active mentorship of team of producers
• Assign producers to specific projects and brands. They will consult with the post production manager and approve post production assignments.
• Review of all final content production deliverables for quality, and accuracy and budget.
• Participate in internal content brainstorms and strategy sessions with Edelman PR leads and creative team members.
• Serve as primary escalation points on all production projects.
• Collaborate with the VP Director of Delivery on all communication of project status, risks and assumptions to internal and external stakeholders.
The VP Executive Producer reports to the EVP, Executive Director of Production. This is a client-facing steward and advocate of the production offering to current and potential Edelman clients.
Qualifications
• Experienced in managing and mentoring producers at all levels.
• Passionate about the production process.
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in broadcast/advertising as well as a thorough understanding of online and integrated campaigns.
• Must have a thorough understanding of all aspects of production for a wide range of content, from guerilla/man-on-the-street to full broadcast production.
• Can draw on industry relationships on a national level to bring the right creative talent to bear on productions.
• Understanding of all aspects of post-production and finishing including creative decisions regarding Directors, Director of Photography, Editors, Talent casting, with a wide network of contacts in these areas.
• Strong communication and people skills, leadership skills, ability to interact with people at every level, including building strong partnerships with senior management.
• Strong organizational skills; Ability to manage well under pressure.
• Proven ability to work independently to generate high-quality creative work in a collaborative, ever-changing environment.
• Positive and energetic candidate who brings enthusiasm to their work.
• Experienced in managing $2-3m production budgets.
