Overview
UEG is seeking a full time VP/Event Producer within our experiential group, available immediately. They strategically and creatively works with the team to build a brand solution for a client that meets/exceeds outlined objectives and goals. Working through an integrated approach the experience allows consumers to make a connection with a brand by generating buzz, spreading awareness and motivating them to act. Solutions may include but are not limited to: events (B2C, B2B, and media), marketing promotions (pop-ups, mobile tours, street teams) and/or guerilla style marketing (sampling initiatives, wrapped vehicles).
Responsibilities
The VP is responsible for the day-to-day management of several accounts and programs as well as the individual performance of team members who report to them.
Day-to-day responsibilities include bit are not limited to:
Account Management
• Work with UEG team members to lead the development of comprehensive integrated marketing, promotion and event programs that include strategic planning and built-in metrics. Includes but is not limited to:
◦ Owning the planning process – fully understanding the client brief, deciphering the ask and developing a core UEG team to answer the objectives set forth by the client
◦ Program/client research via internal and external resources
◦ Creative brief development (internal and external) that will guide the creative process as well as bring on board key vendors
◦ Brainstorm sessions (lead and participate)
◦ Development of production estimates true to cost working with internal team members as well as vendors
• Lead account management process including but not limited to:
◦ Ownership of client relationship (internal or external) providing senior counsel and direction through ongoing communications
◦ Development and structure of UEG team to support the program outlining roles and responsibilities so that team members are accountable and clear on the process
◦ Ownership of contract development and negotiations (internal/external) including SOWs, vendors relationships etc.
◦ Weekly status reports (internal/external) with both clients and team members keeping programs on track and/or ahead of schedule
◦ Ongoing budget and production timeline management – weekly check-ins with internal finance team and team members on spend and team utilization o Vendor research, acquisition and management
◦ Writing of decks, presentations etc. in support of all program elements
◦ Program reporting/metrics/recap reports including level setting of client goals ahead of program start and ongoing check-ins with the team to make sure that the program is on track to hit (and go above) on all areas of results
• Management of necessary production documents including but not limited to:
◦ Production schedules
◦ Run of Show documents
◦ Vendor briefs
◦ Staff training documents
◦ Key messaging documents
• Troubleshoot program issues developing solution-oriented plans – be able to think through all areas ahead of time and be pro-active vs. reactive in all areas of the program
◦ Pull in senior guidance and/or legal when needed
Product Capability and Development
• Understand clients’ marketing and business goals and strategies
• Understand key client industry issues relating to products, product categories, technologies, primary and potential competition and general issues facing the industry
• Understand recent and projected financial performance
• Regular participation and contributions to account team meetings
• Overall supervision and responsibility for their set of accounts
• Understand audience research and tracking techniques and methodologies; use them to plan and evaluate client events
• Evaluate campaign results against objectives; use results to suggest improvements to client or team
• Understand and apply industry trends and insights to improve overall strategic approach and thinking for client work
Financial Management
• Responsible for planning, organization and client profitability including but not limited to:
◦ Program set-up within existing financial system
◦ Day-to-day budget tracking
◦ Vendor invoice/PO management
◦ Track time (internal and external)
◦ Manage/correct billing issues
◦ Team Utilization
• Create cost effective budgets for accounts with detailed back-up and real-time tracking
Business Development
• Grow network of industry clients and participate in relevant professional organizations and networking activities
• Support the new business process, including identifying new business opportunities and helping support and at times lead the RFP response process
• Help pull together cross-discipline teams to provide clients and prospects with the most compelling team and proposal
• Grow accounts organically by introducing clients to relevant and new capabilities to advance their business goals
• Develop program case studies and assist with submitting agency work for awards and industry recognitions

Qualifications:
VP candidates:
• Must have at least 6-8 years of relevant experience within the event marketing field and a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferably in marketing, communications and/or advertising.
• Have significant experience working on social media/digital campaigns and knowledge of how they integrate into the larger marketing mix
• Must be an incredibly creative individual who is able to provide smart and strategic recommendations to their team and to clients for a particular program.
• Is responsible for overseeing multiple experiential programs at one time; maintaining a high quality of account service and overall program execution.
• Must possess superior communication skills, be able to multi-task efficiently and be detail oriented.
• Have a strong understanding of the public relations field and a passion for the event marketing industry.
