Description
Golin Los Angeles is seeking aDirector of Integrated Media. This individual will lead the planning, implementation and measurement of media and influencer brand and product programs for clients including Nestle, Clif Bar and Frito-Lay.
We seek a results-oriented, proactive thinker who excels at navigating today’s media environment and leveraging trends and insights to deliver breakthrough ideas for clients that will generate media coverage and consumer awareness.
This person should have established relationships and a portfolio of results with food, health and wellness, lifestyle, business, marketing and pop culture media and influencers as well as an excellent understanding of the current news environment and media, influencer and digital trends.
What You’ll Do:
• Serve as media relations and influencer lead on two-four major accounts.
• Create media and influencer strategy for client activities, as well as for new business pitches and proposals.
• Leverage media contacts and influencer relationships to generate top-tier coverage and conversation.
• Plan and execute all media competencies including messaging, strategies, outreach, integrations, events, content placement and training junior staff members in each competency.
• Provide thought-leadership, added-value thinking and counsel for clients. Build client relationships, earning the respect and confidence of key client executives.
• Mentor and coach staff and help them to develop competency in all aspects of media and influencer relations.
• Identify and negotiate partnerships, spokespeople, contracts and integration.
• Leverage trends and insights to deliver breakthrough ideas for clients.
• Package ideas and feedback in a clear, logical and persuasive manner with any audience
• Maintain understanding and knowledge of Golin’s proprietary programs, especially The Bridge, and how to engage and activate them with existing and potential clients.
Qualifications
What You’ll Need:
• 8+ of experience in the public relations or communications-related field, specializing in media and influencer relations. Extensive experience in food as well as health and wellness and consumer packaged goods. A deep understanding of lifestyle media and influencers with strong industry contacts.
• Proven success in creating media strategies resulting in top-level results.
• Integrated media mind-set, understanding the relationship between social and traditional media.
