Associate Director, Digital Analytics @ OMD
OMD, an award-winning global media agency, is looking for a new Associate Director to join our Digital Analytics practice. At OMD, we are providing our clients powerful and innovative media strategies, along with big ideas that are driven by insights. OMD’s Digital Analytics practice is at the forefront of this process, helping to uncover these insights via sophisticated data analysis.
As an associate director at OMD’s Digital Analytics team, you will lead the digital analytics practice for a number of high-profile clients. You will not only work closely with the Director of Digital Analytics and/or US Director of Analytics to manage resources, implement process improvements and provide mentorship to a team of analysts, but also work with the account team consisting of media planners and strategists to shape the strategic direction of your client’s digital marketing strategy through data-driven insights. You will also be responsible for resource prioritization and staffing of your team.
Areas of Responsibility
• Leading the client relationship for both day to day and strategic level Digital Analytics guidance
• Establishing self as a thought leader around digital analytics and ad-technology concepts / methods / tools
• Ensuring excellence in the delivery of all internal and external digital analytics demands
• Ensuring that analytics efforts lead to clear, compelling and actionable insights; and insightful narratives are constructed through sophisticated analytics techniques
• Anticipating client’s needs and proactively developing solutions to address them
• Identifying opportunities to continuously improve processes around digital measurement, reporting and analytics methodology and management processes
• Presenting reports, POVs and other materials to clients on a regular basis over the phone and in person
• Identifying organic growth opportunities and participate in new business pitches
• Leading, mentoring and training a team of 5-7 analysts
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, economics, engineering, information management, social sciences or business/marketing related fields. Advanced degree (MBA / MS) is preferred.
Requirements
• 6+ years of experience in a quantitative data driven field
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• A passion for both digital marketing and data analytics
• Independent thinker with ability to manage and prioritize a number of concurrent tasks, while mentoring and managing a team of analysts
• Ability to move beyond descriptive analytics and employ more sophisticated techniques (predictive & prescriptive analytics)
• Ability to clearly explain complex technical ideas to multiple audiences both verbally and in writing
• Comprehensive knowledge of ad technologies, how they work, and how to troubleshoot
• Ability to work well with others and work in cross functional teams
• Ability to set individual goals for his/her direct reports and measuring individual success / performance
• Ability to identify issues related to quality of work and/or work load, and re-allocate resources to address these issues
Desired Technical Skills
• Fluency in SAS, SPSS, R or other advanced analytics software packages
• Experience in ad-serving and web analytics tools (Google DFA, Atlas, Google Analytics, Omniture, etc.)
• Fluency with concepts of database design and SQL
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Familiarity with web technologies including HTML and Javascript
