Group Creative Director, Marketing Creative
The Marketing Creative team, within the Creative Department, is responsible for driving and evolving the expression of the Conversant and CJ brands and contributing to ROI, by providing support and alignment to the goals of the Direct, Agency and Affiliate Marketing teams. This includes design and execution of foundational marketing - in print and digital formats, campaign execution, design for events/expos, thought leadership and blog and website support.
This roll-up-your-sleeves position is responsible for establishing and leading the creative execution of corporate marketing and branding, design for experiential marketing, digital cross-platform campaigns, and thought-leadership throughout a heavily matrix management team. The GCD will be accountable for providing support and alignment to reach business goals and objectives; an advocate for sophisticated and expressive work, while delivering design execution in a fast-passed creative process. This is a perfect position for those seeking a “client-side” career.
Responsibilities:
Creative Strategy: The role of GCD serves in the Creative Department, and is accountable as a collaborative partner to Corporate Marketing to translate business needs into meaningful interactive experiences for clients and consumers; Develop best practices for creative execution of strategic marketing plans and programs through innovation and automation with a strong emphasis on creating scalable solutions.
Creative Excellence: Lead, inspire and set the vision for creative strategy and execution across multiple touch points, including partnering with various department heads as internal clients. Exhibit exceptional understanding of the functional aspects of print and digital design, and exceptional leadership of brand expression across multiple mediums.
Talent Development: Establish creative standards and best practices for staff, while mentoring talent for professional growth and development. Set performance goals and objectives to achieve peak performance and productivity.
Roles:
• Lead creative strategy on marketing projects, campaigns, digital initiatives and video projects.
• Lead overall design vision, philosophy for brand expression, and process for corporate brand.
• Lead and evaluate messaging, copywriting and storylines.
• Provides leadership and mentoring to staff in a transparent, nurturing, open culture.
• Anticipates and solves problems – with staff and clients in a positive, professional and motivating manner.
• Acts as a visible and respected leader within the Creative Department working along side of other seasoned creative leaders.
• 70% Execution, 30% Strategy. Roughly 20% internal collateral, 80% external branding.
Technical Proficiency & Industry Knowledge: Demonstrate proficiency in Design tools (CS4/5) and exhibit strong understanding of design landscape and latest industry trends in print and online design.
Requirements:
Your portfolio should include brand work as well as corporate communications.
Education: Minimum Bachelors Degree in fine arts, graphic design or a related discipline. Masters degree, advanced fine arts degree or teaching experience a plus. Years of Experience: 6 -10+
Program Knowledge:
• Expert level Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
• PowerPoint, Mac/PC platform literate.
