Our new client facing Data Driven Analytics (DDA) unit leverages GfK's data landscape, client and 3rd party data, our big data and analytics solution stack as well as our marketing use case expertise in order to develop and launch a new analytics offering for our clients. The setup will be in agile start-up atmosphere with the advantages of a Global Player. In a nutshell: marketing performance from data.
As Senior Director, Consulting (m/f) you execute successful analytics projects and develop a strong and profitable relationship with clients. You will lead a team of analytics consultants, create data-driven strategies and concepts, manage analytics custom projects and develop the subject matter expertise represented through our practice areas. This person will lead by example, and support a culture of deep engagement and happiness focused on our top priorities. You will be able to clearly communicate, develop and execute data-driven analytics projects. As a global leader of analytics consulting you should also expect to have a flexible schedule.
Key Accountabilities
• Leading a global team of analytics consultants
• Developing an asset-based consulting strategy based on our capabilities, client focus, USP and scope
• Owning the practice area expertise with the required (data) science background
• Develop a collaboration process between analytics consultants and data science
• Development of a data design thinking based consulting toolbox (methodologies, processes, …)
• Hands-on consultancy and presentation of results and being a role model
• Driving analytics consultancy thought leadership, incl. conference and c-level presentations
• Support pitches, project pricing and business development
• Leading a concrete practice / solution area eg. Customer Value Optimization
• Develop a strong connection and relationship with the client through the actual project
• Know, understand and solve the problem of your client: solution selling, data design thinking, story telling
• Responsible for managing the actual client engagements both globally and for Germany
Requirements
You should fulfill the following requirements:
• Substantial relevant professional experience of at least 10 years, preferably working across cultures
• Expert in leading analytics related subject matter consulting teamswithexceptional experience
• Experience in developing data-driven strategies, analytics concepts and analytics (data) solutions
• Subject matter experience in marketing related use casese.g.Customer Value Optimization,Up & Cross Selling,Customer Life Time Value, Price & Promotion, Sales Channel Optimization
• Hand on experience with state of the art analytics tool and methods
• Outstanding personality: Seniority, assertiveness and ability to support top management relationships
• Result driven and proven track record in international client relationships
• Ability to understand client's business questions, to design integrated solutions from multiple sources and to add value through simple business recommendations and insight-based consultancy
• Passion, dedication and commitment to develop data-driven business
• Ready to assume a certain risk/ implement new developments (forerunner for GfK)
• Preferable industry experience preferable in the Technology, Retail, Consumer Electronics or FMCG
• Ability to manage and motivate (virtual) teams in a global environment
• Excellent data strategy, communication and presentation skills
• Proficiency in written and spoken English (at least level B2 in Council of Europe scale)
Typical education and workk experience required:
• Typically: Master's degree with strong focus on business administration or related areas, but we are open to other educational backgrounds as long as the individual skill profile and personality meet our requirements and fit into the team.
• Typically 10+ years of relevant work experience required
• Experience in (digital / analytics) consultancy or analytics intelligence with an industry focus
