Position Summary
The Search Associate Director is an agency position, generally requiring 5+ years of paid search experience. This role is an initial leadership role within Reprise with a wide range of responsibilities. This role will lead the day-to-day client relationship as well as agency/partner relationships, driving advanced thinking and providing execution against that thinking. Additionally, there will be a team leadership aspect within the role, as well as any necessary tasks required for day-to-day execution and success of your brands.
Essential Functions
◦ Continual evaluation of search marketing strategies to identify opportunity for competitive advantage for Reprise
◦ Mastering, identifying and communication of trends in search and client industries
◦ Trusted advisor to client, with demonstrated ability to lead the client relationship, across all levels
◦ Establishes current and long term goals and objectives for responsible accounts, subject to approval by the Director and/or Group Director
◦ Manages the overall day to day activity of associated Search Directors and liaises with strategists to ensure key strategies and vision are deployed
◦ Oversight of recommendations for division of budget - accounting for media spend, agency fees, tracking fees, etc
◦ Take ownership (with leadership assistance) of creation and presentation of all client presentations, including Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly client/partner meetings
◦ Lead paid search integration/value-add in all other media aspects as well as ability to discuss fundamentals of other media types such as SEO, Programmatic, Social, etc.
◦ Create and present case studies, POVs, etc.
◦ Analyzes search planning budgets, of assigned accounts, to identify strengths and weaknesses and ensures proper financial allocations
◦ Display management skills, and lead day-to-day aspects of the search team
◦ Experience analyzing multi-touch attribution reports
◦ Have clear POV on best practices for how to manage Vendor Relationships
◦ Express differences on Media Metrics
◦ Show Critical Thinking & Problem Solving on a daily basis
◦ Lead discussions on Attribution, Audiences and Intent internally and externally
◦ Clear POV on value of mobile vs desktop
◦ Clear POV on the future of Search
◦ Leadership Expectations:
# Responsible for management of direct reports as well as overall development and success of the team
# Lead, develop and manage staff. Offer guidance support, direction and provide development opportunities
# Ensure team has received all tools and training to excel in their roles. This includes but is not limited to deal math, sales techniques and excel
# Main team contact for questions or problem solving
# Accountability for team development; this includes utilizing organizational tools such as L&D, creating internal opportunity and challenges for staff, maintaining positive morale, partnering with HR and Business Leads on supporting organizational objectives
# Cascades information and empowers the team to action
# Defines and executes on corporate culture initiative
Qualifications
Education:
• Bachelor's degree required
• Concentration in Marketing or related field preferred
Work Experience:
• 5+ years of experience with within an agency environment required
Skills:
• Advanced/Cutting Edge knowledge of Google, Yahoo & Bing
• Advanced/Cutting Edge knowledge of at least two bidding platforms such as Marin, Kenshoo or Doubleclick
• Polished presence and presentations skills (presentation will be required)
• Excellent writing skills with an attention to detail
• Mastery of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required
• Ability to multitask and handle other duties as assigned
• Spanish proficiency is a plus
