Account Director, Social Media
Social@Ogilvy is seeking a digital and social savvy leader to join the Chicago team. This is a unique opportunity to use your experience executing social media for global consumer brands on an exciting, passionate, and award-winning team. You will serve as a senior leader of a high-profile piece of business in the CPG space to conceptualize, build and execute ground breaking digital campaigns, partnerships and content.
This Account Director position must exhibit the necessary skills of the social discipline. You will be responsible for accurately managing resources across multiple projects for a large account and ensuring all goals are regularly met and exceeded.
This position requires a person that is a builder of international relationships (both internal and external), a brand champion, an agency facilitator, and an opportunist that helps grow the business. In addition, exhibits strength in project management, scope management, risk management and team management.

Social media experience with a large B to C client is a prerequisite.
Responsibilities:
• Posses and demonstrates a thorough knowledge of the dynamics and workings of clients’ digital business
• Manage resources, budgets, and timelines for a large account accurately and efficiently
• Work closely with clients and account teams to lead the development of social media programs and strategies
• Demonstrates knowledge of the overall social landscape and is a subject matter expert in planning and launching social media pages
• Demonstrates a pervasive knowledge of client and agency operations and working agency mix
• Hold ultimate accountability for the results of your team’s social media campaigns
• Advocates for the social team internally, and keeps the integrated agency team informed, focused and enthused about the work and the business
• Able to set and manage social KPIs
• Understands in-depth business and reporting as well as comprehensive social ROI analysis
• Understands and knows how to navigate a global agency structure
• Actively applies risk management tools and techniques
• Able to lead and actively contribute to a strategic and efficient content management plan
• Leads interface with cross-functional teams in an IMC environment
• Ability to understand and manage details of a integrated planning, execution and content plan
• Ability to understand, analyze and document strategic initiatives
• Has experience managing teams, including reporting and professional development
• Challenges direction, or the status quo, and proactively seeks alternate perspectives and approaches in developing effective social strategies
• Ability to create, manage and present social content process and plans
• Create complex scopes (fee and OOP) and project plans
• Builds strong links with global Agency partners to develop effective strategies, briefings, and creative, strategic work
• Employ a variety of research techniques to understand and analyze online data and provide insight about relevant online conversations and voices in those conversations
Required qualifications:
• 7-10 years of experience in social management
• Agency experience a must
• Solid understanding of social media and the digital landscape
• Must be passionate about quickly-evolving social media environment
• Outstanding research and analytical skills
• Significant past experience managing a large and complex client with at least ten simultaneous projects while also scoping for incremental work to grow the business
• Superior communication, organizational, and project management skills
• Global B to C social experience a plus
·Superior organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proven ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a fast paced and deadline driven environment
• Ability to work effectively and proactively within a global, integrated team setting
• Experience launching brands on various social media platforms
• Able to train others on applying brand concepts/voice in social media
• Significant past experience with international markets and managing remote co-workers a requirement for this position a plus
• Experience leading, managing and developing an internal team a must
• BA/BS
