Position Overview
The Associate Director will assist running the data and analytics group. He or She will have a critical role in project management and client leadership, and ensuring consistent and quality output on all data management and advanced analytics projects. Will play a key interface for clients and will work closely with the Director Client Services to provide all analytics support and alongside will have a large share in client interaction. The associate director will manage resources within the group for multiple projects. He or She will be responsible to manage effective communication with other internal resources at GroupM for the concerned projects.
Manage data warehousing and advanced analytics projects from start to finish. Set overall timeline, manage data collection, database processing, and analytics work of project team. Build results presentations summarizing analysis results to provide key insights to end client and media planning teams. Load data and modeling results to interactive online platform. Manage daily client communications and requests. Provide support to GroupM’s media teams to respond client business questions.
Responsibilities
• Keep multiple complex projects well organized and executed.
• Manage specialist resources covering data management and advanced analytics
• Provide on-going client support covering data management and advanced analytics projects
• Present to clients and prospective clients on data and analytics opportunities.
• Work on-site with the client, when appropriate.
• Ensure a high level of client satisfaction.
• Manage projects that primarily focus on reporting and optimizing media and marketing activities (including advertising, promotional activities and pricing strategies).
• Work in an integrated fashion with client marketing insight and marketing professionals to make recommendations based on analyses and experience.
Requirements
• 6+ years’ experience in data management or statistical and econometric analysis (Marketing Mix Analysis).
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience with client management and presenting complex concepts and results to non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical skills; ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations using analytical, statistical and econometric modeling techniques as needed.
• Experience with SQL within at least one of the major databases platforms (SQLServer, Oracle, DB2, MySQL, Sybase, or Postgres)
• Deeper experience with MS SQL Server / SSIS / SSAS strongly preferred
• Understanding of digital/media/marketing data sources and metrics preferred: Digital (e.g. Web, Social, Display, Search etc.); Media (e.g. buying models, CPU, Impressions, GRP); Measurement analytics, Quantitative business measures (Adstock, ROI, Churn, etc.); Statistics (Correlations, sample sizing, etc.)
• Experience with visualization techniques for data analysis and presentation
• Experience in working with, managing and mentoring teams preferred
