An intern software developer to assist with platforms that our designers and engineers use to design and build theme parks. We focus on technologies to capture, store, and retrieve design artifacts to enable global engineering collaboration in real-time. We are focused at the intersection of engineering, architecture, 3D modeling, and data management to empower delivery of new attractions around the world.
Participating on a project team with other software engineers and product manager(s).
Picking up user stories, developing features, writing tests, and participating in code review.
Writing code using the .NET or Ruby on Rails frameworks.
Writing code to extract and manage data between 3D modeling applications and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software platforms.
3-6 months of experience developing features using a backend Model-View-Controller web framework (e.g., Ruby on Rails, Django, Spring MVC, Laravel, .NET, etc)
Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational database
Experience with Bootstrap
Currently enrolled as a Sophomore or higher, or graduated within the past 6 months, from an accredited college/university, earning a degree majoring in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar field
Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR currently participating in a Company College Program or Company Professional Internship
Must not have already completed one consecutive year of employment on a Company internship or program
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must possess unrestricted work authorization
Must provide full work availability from January-May 2020
Must possess a valid US driver's license
Must provide own transportation to/from work
Current Active Company Cast Members must meet Professional Internship transfer guidelines (for Walt Company World Cast Members this is no more than four points and one reprimand in the last six months; for Disneyland Cast Members this is six months of consecutive service and a performance record clear of any disciplinary issues (warnings, suspensions, etc.) for at least six months)
