Leads the effective implementation and continuous improvement of the Volkswagen Warranty Audit Process. This includes monitoring all phases of warranty performance to be in compliance with Volkswagen’s Warranty Policies and Procedures.
Supports Company’s goals for effective warranty cost management and compliance with approved VW Brand policies and procedures using the latest training and auditing processes, IT systems and statistical reporting methods.
Managing, administering and communicating the requirements and expectations of the Volkswagen Warranty Audit Process. Providing assistance to dealers requiring help with warranty administration, claim preparation, processing and decision making with the goal is to prevent warranty audits through proactive communication and education.
Confidently representing the VW Brand’s position regarding a variety of Warranty and Service and Quality topics to all levels of dealer personnel including dealer principals, dealer management and dealer legal representatives.
Performing warranty audits at dealers based on the VW Brand manufacturer’s approved guidelines and objectives. Communicating audit findings both verbally and in writing to appropriate dealer personnel and representatives as well as VW field staff and management.
Recommending actions to support warranty cost control initiatives.
•Minimum of 5 years experience as a dealer Service Manager (VW/Audi preferred) or equivalent experience with a proven record of professionalism
Leadership & organization skills required for analyzing & correcting service operations processes
Knowledge of up-to-date computer systems and can operate within VWoA Systems and MS Office Applications
Working Knowledge and understanding of VWoA’s Warranty Policies and Claim Processing Systems
Proven negotiation and problem solving skills
Requires excellent presentation skills with proven record of accomplishments, while maintaining the highest degree of professionalism under all situations
General knowledge of Auditing concepts, processes and procedures applied to automotive industry
ASE certified preferred, with the ability to understand diagnosis & repair concepts, etc.
