Job TitleWarehouse Supervisor- 1st shift
WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR- 1st shift
Work Schedule: 6:45 am to 2:45 pm, Monday- Friday
SUMMARY: Responsible for the daily administration and operation of the warehouse. Oversee materials are received, stored, shipped and reported in accordance with established procedures. Direct and supervise warehouse staff. Review effectiveness of operating procedures, maintenance, space utilization and protection of equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administer and oversee the daily operation of the warehouse including processing, packaging and storage of supplies, materials and equipment. Ensure overtime is maintained within budget allotted.
Oversee receipt, storage and shipment of materials and related reporting in accordance with established procedures. Ensure the accuracy of the inventory.
Account for all materials and supplies in the stores facilities. Audit goods received into warehouse.
Coach and mentor team members in the areas of productivity, quality, safety and Medline Core Values.
Ensure all routine paperwork is completed on time and are filled out accurately.
Assist the warehouse manager in maintaining a safe work environment for all team members.
Lead day-to-day activities of employees. Assign, monitor and review progress and accuracy of work, directs efforts and provides technical guidance on more complex issues. Provide input into hiring, firing and performance reviews.
Work with customer service to resolve warehouse related issues.
Achieve a Culture of Excellence through training, coaching and mentoring of associates. Instill behaviors relevant to Company values, policies, procedures and performance standards.
Analyze production schedules and labor requirements and establish or adjusts work procedures to meet production commitments.
Assure optimal utilization of people, skills, and equipment. Work to continually improve quality and production output.
Coordinate with the team to meet projected schedules; monitor progress and updates management; resolve day-to-day conflicts in a professional and timely manner.
Responsible for appropriate headcount, expenses, and overall operation in areas of assignment.
Additional hours and weekend work required during peak periods, such as month end, quarter end and year end.
Basic qualifications for consideration:
Minimum-Associates Degree in Industrial Management or related is preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent, is required with at least 4 years of direct experience with a minimum of 2 years in management.
Experience in a dynamic, high volume production environment and understanding of production concepts.
Prioritizing work assignments based on deadlines
Seeking a problem solver that is able to research and analyze to resolve a comparable solution to drive productivity on your shift.
Strong mechanical aptitude and time management
Experience operating a computer workstation
Proven leadership skills
Deep knowledge of production operation
Ability to work overtime during peak periods
