The Ph.D. Intern, Supply Chain Strategy and Analytics will focus on developing innovative solutions to some of the standard supply chain problems we face today as an e-commerce company such as allocation planning, SKU affinity modeling, network optimization and transportation optimization. This position leverages advanced data modeling, data mining, analytics and optimization techniques to help improve bottom line and customer SLA's. On a daily basis, this position will conduct thorough analysis to identify root cause of a business problem and develop mathematical models to provide recommendations on alternative ways of conducting business. The role will work cross functionally with multiple stakeholders at Company Global eCommerce to understand and analyze the business problem, develop innovative solutions and gain alignment on the recommendations provided. The position is part of a growing team at Company eCommerce headquarters in San Bruno, CA, that combines strong analytical and optimization background with business domain knowledge and works closely with Company eCommerce leadership.
