Job Description:
We are seeking an entrepreneurial Vice President, Delivery Management to join our Leadership team.
• Manage a Delivery Management team consisting of people across Project Management, Business Analysis and Quality Assurance
• Oversee successful delivery of all digital projects across the region with specific focus on delivering on-time and on-budget, effective processes and client satisfaction
• Oversee responsibility for profit margin, billability and process
• Play an active role in business development including scoping new opportunities, participating in pitches and building new project teams for incoming work
Responsibilities:
• Bring top-notch consulting/relationship management skills and broad expertise in successfully delivering innovative solutions involving technology, user experience, creative design and business/marketing strategy
• Provide strategic oversight to ensure projects within program portfolio are meeting quality, client satisfaction and revenue/profitability targets
• Review scope and project methodology for client projects
• Provide support and guidance to delivery teams to help solve or advise on strategic approaches to solving the client’s business problem. Assist the team with removing any major obstacles for success
• Strategically organize and structure projects and/or tracks of work within an overall program that effectively address the client’s problems as well as drive ongoing account strategy and planning
• Understand the client’s strategic business goals and vision, ensures this is maintained within the team and that projects are aligned to the vision
• Foster long-term senior level client relationships by understanding the client’s overall business goals and acting as a trusted advisor to the client
• Guide, mentor & promote a positive, highly collaborative team environment and ensure that the delivery team is providing the highest quality of consulting services and innovative solution creation to our clients
• Help to resolve critical, high impact issues and risks when they are escalated from the client and/or team
• Partner with the Client Partners to keep them informed of high impact & critical in nature project issues and risks throughout the project lifecycle
• Develop project reviews for Project Managers on respective accounts and solicit feedback from Client Partner, team and client
• Actively participate in recruiting and interviewing prospective candidates
• Promote and capture knowledge sharing and lessons learned within the Delivery Management network and across multiple project teams and accounts
• Actively manage the billability of the staff and margin across the portfolio
• Work closely with the Client Partner and Resource Management teams to conduct capacity planning across the portfolio
Qualifications:
• Minimum 15 years of project management experience managing multi-phased, digital projects including large scale ad creative and campaign projects and web design and development projects
• Repeated delivery success of profitably managing multiple projects in a consulting environment through the entire project/development lifecycle from requirements definition to system deployment
• Experience establishing and leading a Project Management Office consisting of multiple Project Managers (internal, client and/or vendor participation)
• Proven ability to manage and build strategic accounts with Fortune 500 clients
• Expertise knowledge of Project Management principles, methods & techniques: scope management, risk/issue management, change management, team communication, cost management, project planning, financial (budgeting, forecasting, tracking, reporting)
• Experience with Agile in a web design and development environment
• Experience managing teams implementing Content Management Systems
• Experience in advising which delivery methodology is applicable to each client’s situation as well as adapting the methodologies where necessary
• Experience managing multiple tracks of a project as an integrated program, with differing timelines, deliverables and expectations
• Proven track record in managing groups, extending projects and bringing in new consulting assignments
• Experience leading teams working in various client environments and building partnerships in different client engagement models (e.g., initial client engagement/matured client account; informal process/formal process; uniquely configured team integration client/consultant/vendor team, etc.)
• Working knowledge of MS Project and Microsoft Office and Jira a plus.
• Willingness to travel to meet with clients when appropriate (typically ~25% travel)
• Requires a BS with business experience; MS and/or MBA a plus
• PMP and PMI-ACP certification preferred.
