Company Financial is seeking a Vice President of Distribution Strategy and Training to support the Life and Annuities business. In this role, you will report to the Chief ISG Sales and Distribution Officer and will be expected to lead the distribution and sales strategy, development, market positioning and delivery of all products to drive profitable growth for the Annuities and Life Businesses. You must be able to influence, collaborate and create connective synergies within the ISG businesses, its senior executives as well as all stakeholders in the delivery chain. You will also be collaborating with partners across Company’s other businesses and functions, and operate in a fast-paced, forward-looking business environment. This position will be based in Dresher, PA.
Lead the design and implementation of distribution and sales training strategy for a robust life and annuity sales organization whose distribution partners include Broker/Dealers, IMOs, Financial Advisors and Producer Groups
Identify Market gaps, opportunities and standup new businesses of which include the positioning and distribution of a Structured Notes sales process.
Develop the methodologies to track product performance, maturities of notes, call dates and coupon dates and formulate a communication strategy for sales and distribution.
Work with the Product Head towards fulfilling the Business strategy and direction for Structured Notes product. Understand the key financial drivers and use these to make recommendations to improve revenue generation
Work with different stakeholders, both internal and external to finalize the documentation of notes in a timely manner. This includes any legal or regulatory approval as well as risk review. Ensure the implementation of sufficient controls and monitoring to validate the product is sold within the framework of all regulatory requirements.
Relentlessly track, measure and monitor results across all sales channels. Work closely with distribution to evolve strategies that will sustain and impact sales activities.
Foster positive relationships with marketing partners in the development of impactful presentations and materials to support large market finals and site visits.
Actively lead and participate in dry run presentations to assist in creating the sales story for each prospect.
Provide internal stakeholders with a lens of the evolving external marketplace; educate on trends, strengths, weaknesses, as perceived in the market.
Participate in projects as identified by manager to provide market facing view.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required, advanced degree preferred
7-10 years of experience in corporate strategy or management consulting strategy roles, including experience in financial services
A solid understanding of both life and annuity products
A good understanding of the working of Structured products and experience in structuring.
Business/ Organizational Knowledge - ability to communicate effective with internal stakeholder and external entities.
Successful track record of leading teams, with a demonstrated ability to flex between strategy and tactics
Client focus – instinctive approach to matching client wants with business propositions.
Delivering results – Strong organization skills, disciplined, detail-oriented methodology and a commercial acumen, results focused combined strongly with ability to prioritize around value and managing execution using functional expertise.
Strong decision-making skills – using a high level of judgement to arrive at clear decisions.
Ability to work well under pressure – demonstrating flexibility and the ability to tolerate ambiguity in a fast-moving multi-tasking environment.
Project management experience
FINRA Series 6, 63 and life licensing required or ability to obtain within 120 days
