Description
Barclays Services Corp. seeks a Vice President, Credit Model Analyst for its New York, New York location.
Duties: Analyze credit data and financial statements to determine degree of risk and prepare reports with credit information for use in decision making in support of Credit Models Management (CMM) team. Utilize credit risk modeling knowledge to design and implement Loss Given Default (LGD) and Exposure at Default (EAD) models. Design and implement Loss Given Default (LGD) and Exposure at Default (EAD). Collect internal default data and liaise with third party data providers for Default Database to support Credit Risk models. Utilize Access and SQL to develop and program Default Database and sourcing information for credit models in support of Credit Restructuring and Advisory Group (CRAG). Conduct design and production for CRAG reporting systems and perform ad hoc analysis on live and defaulted portfolios. Liaise with external and internal stakeholders, including legal, portfolio, counterparty risk, and finance to perform valuation analyses, prepare reports, and obtain internal approvals. Analyze model build statistics and translate conclusions into business language for management and stakeholders. Liaise with CMM Senior Management and Directors to design, forecast, and implement Probability of default (PD) models, internal data warehouse, and reporting tool. Monitor and interpret regulatory requirements from Prudential Regulatory Authority (PRA) and implement changes systems to make them compliant.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics or Accounting, or related field and five (5) years of experience as a Credit Analyst, Credit Modeler, Quantitative Analyst, or related occupation within the financial services industry. Demonstrated experience must include utilizing credit risk modeling knowledge to design and implement Loss Given Default (LGD) and Exposure at Default (EAD) models; monitoring and interpreting regulatory requirements and implementing changes systems to make them compliant; analyzing model build statistics and translating conclusions into business language for management and stakeholders; and utilizing Access and SQL to develop and program Default Database and sourcing information for credit models.
