Vice President, Capital Planning / CCAR Communications and Reporting
This position will join the Capital Planning Group to support a range of high-profile, strategic regulatory activities with particular focus on the execution and reporting for the Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) exercises.
Citi’s Capital Planning Group is responsible for the full scope of capital planning processes and risk management across the capital planning continuum, from Basel (business as usual), to CCAR/DFAST stress testing, and to Recovery and Resolution Planning, including the management, development, and submission of the annual CCAR Capital Plans and the Recovery and Resolution plans.
This position will support the Capital Planning Group by coordinating and contributing to regulatory submissions, including the Capital Plan, and internal presentations to senior management and the board of directors related to Capital Planning, with a focus on CCAR/DFAST Stress Testing. The role requires strong communication and writing skills, as well as program leadership experience. Distilling complex ideas through the development of simple presentations is critical. The candidate will have a unique opportunity to gain a broad understanding of many key facets of Citi and exposure to senior management and regulators.
Support preparation of executive/management level reporting to senior governance forums chaired by the Head of Capital Planning, the CFO, and the CRO
Support reporting requirements for other governance forums including the Capital Committee and Risk Management Committee of the Board
Provide regular updates to the Head of Capital Planning
Support the submission of the Annual Capital Plan for CCAR, as well as the supporting documentation for the regulatory submission
Assist in the coordination of and writing of sections of Citi’s Capital Plan
Contribute to the quarterly capital adequacy assessment process and reporting
Help create capital materials relating to CCAR enhancements and results for senior management, committees, and the Board of Directors
Support the development of materials for additional CCAR-related governance forums
5+ years of experience within financial services or consulting
Exceptionally strong written communication skills for both presentations (i.e., Powerpoint) and narrative documents (i.e., Word)
Significant intellectual curiosity and desire to learn how Citi is managed and how it conducts its Capital Planning activities
Superior attention to detail and diligence sufficient to withstand scrutiny of senior executives
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and matrixed environment while multitasking and meeting strict deadlines
Ability to learn quickly and take initiative in self-development required
Good influencing, facilitation, and partnering skills required
Strong analytical skills required
Strong Powerpoint and Word capabilities a must
Bachelors degree required; MBA, JD, MA preferred
