Pacific Life is looking to invest in bright, agile new talent to ensure we continue to innovate and strengthen relationships with our policyholders. It’s in this spirit that we are currently looking to add a skilled Variable Products Accountant to our team in Newport Beach, CA.
As Variable Products Accountant with the Financial Reporting team, you’ll play a key role in Company’s growth and long-term success by managing the review of shareholder reports, including financial statements, notes to financial statements, Schedules of Investments, Fair Value Measurements, Derivatives and other schedules for financial reporting, on a quarterly basis. Additionally, you’ll assist with Transfer Agency functions (including fundshare activity wires and outstanding share reconciliations), approval of Fund of Funds trade tickets, and updating daily unit prices for mutual funds and separate accounts.

What You’ll Do
Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred
Ability to work under tight deadlines, especially during quarterly financial reporting. (Note: This position might require extended hours during January and February)
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong PC (Excel, Word and Access)
