This role is a member of the Reno, NV Campus Leadership team, providing leadership on all things HR working strategically to embed great People practices which are aligned with and enhance our core values. This will encompass all areas of generalist HR which will allow for broad contribution to business discussions, debate and direction, challenging where appropriate and providing insights and data to drive better decisions.
The HR Manager will oversee the day-to-day HR duties for the Distribution/Fulfillment Centers of Urban Outfitters, Inc. The HR Manager will lead a team consisting of HR Supervisor, Employee Relations Generalist and HR Coordinators to ensure success over multiple tasks such as payroll, headcount planning, recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, FMLA, Worker’s Compensation, as well as other HR related tasks. The HR Manager will be a key member of the leadership team ensuring clear communication, proper planning and timely action is taken to continue making Company an employer of choice.
Lead HR team to fulfill all daily responsibilities of the campus.
Oversee all recruiting efforts including internal and external job postings, screening applicants, scheduling interviews, completing background checks and follow up. Assist with onboarding process, tracking applicant progress, conducting orientation, completing e-verify for I-9 documentation.
Collaborate with site leadership to maintain employee engagement and build company culture.
Assist in creating peak headcount plans, work with agencies to ensure staffing needs are meet.
Ensure employee records are compliant, audit payroll records, validate employee and company information is accurate.
Communicate company policies and procedures to all employees and enforce company standards.
Conduct employee investigations as needed, ensure consistent application of policy, coach and mentor leadership and hourly employees on best practices.

7 years of increased responsibility in the Human Resources field.
Strong analytical, problem solving and reporting skills.
Excellent leadership, team building, communication and organizational skills.
Bachelor’s Degree required.
