Job Description
We are looking for a talented
USER INTERFACE (UI) ARTIST
with strong 2D skills to join our console team.
You should be passionate about games and the field of UX. You take initiative to independently find creative solutions to complex problems. You understand that creating UI requires a diverse range of skills and are willing to learn new software and methods of working. You should be ready to work within a multidisciplinary team, where you will be expected to actively communicate and collaborate with the team to achieve the best player experience possible. You fully grasp how and why bad UI can completely break a game feature. You understand, and have ability to produce, breathtaking graphic design and layouts.
Your responsibilities
• You will work closely with Game Designers and Art Leads to design game menus which are engaging, user-friendly and functional.
• You will be able to quickly concept mockups of the game menus according to the art direction and will be capable of iterating the design and graphics as needed.
• You will create finalized 2D assets and work together with programmers to ensure that the menus are implemented into the game in a feasible way and work as designed.
Qualifications
We require
• As an artist, you must be UI/UX driven, with your main interests and goals revolving around the creation of the best user interface experience.
• Although previous experience in game development is not required, at least 2 years’ experience in UI/menu design is a must.
• You must be passionate about games and have an understanding of what is required from game user interfaces/menus.
• You have basic programming skills or knowledge in implementation with different tools (e.g. Unity)
• You must be proficient in Photoshop and have at least some experience using other graphics software such as Flash and Illustrator.
• You should be a good communicator and a team player, have a proactive attitude and strong self-organizational skills.
