Business Unit Overview
Company. Studio Facilities (WBSF) oversees the physical operations of the historic 110-acre main lot in Burbank including its 30 soundstages and 20-acre backlot, as well as production-related services including costume, set-dressing, construction, set lighting, catering, transportation, photography and much more. The production site also hosts tours for consumers offering guests intimate views at the inner workings of thriving entertainment studios.
Company. Studio Tour Hollywood is looking for a results driven sales professional to focus on the international market. This Trade Account Manager will be responsible for promoting and selling Company. Studio Tour Hollywood across Asia, Australia, Canada, UK and Europe to global tour operators, OTA’s and other trade accounts with a global network to increase tickets sales and drive attendance. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the tourism industry, be sales driven, results focused and creative in their approach to sales and marketing. You will work with prospects/clients through phone, email, conferences, trade shows and sales visits to develop an international sales programs aligned properly with the goals and objectives of the Trade Sales Team. You will lead the relationship with key tourism partners such as LA Tourism, Visit California and Brand USA and identify opportunities for joint marketing activations. You will maintain and update CRM to reflect accurate account activities. Provide reporting to management detailing proposed prospects and sales activities. Extensive international travel required to attend trade shows and sales missions.
Build a sales plan to generate revenue and maintain account relationships to insure accounts are performing to plan; Be proactive in building relationships/partnerships with prospects/clients including, but not limited to: international transportation partners, DMOs, other attractions, OTAs, Travel Agents, Travel Industry organizations, etc. through phone calls, emails, sales missions, trade shows, and Industry events.
Prepare proposals, recommend pricing, negotiate and manage contracts. Generate account plans that insure partners are achieving targets. Work closely with marketing to activate joint marketing opportunities.
Trade Sales Reporting: Pull & Compile weekly/monthly recaps and produce reports relative to trade revenue generation. Report on travel industry and market trends.
General Sales / Service Support: Working with the group sales/trade support team insure clients are receiving outstanding customer service. This role will support Trade Sales by communicating with prospect/clients, tracking and shipping materials to various locations/countries, organizing, planning, and creating sales presentations and collateral.
College graduate required with a degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications.
5—7 years of experience in attractions, events or travel industry sales.
Prior experience in Sales within travel and leisure industry preferable with a midsize tourist attraction.
Experience with managing a budget, driving sales revenue, strong customer service skills, event/logistic coordination, editing/creating PowerPoint presentations.
Background must demonstrate collaborative approach to selling, customer service orientation, comfort working across all levels of a complex organization, high level of ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
Requires strong communication skills. Excellent writing and presentation skills, exceptional organization skills, ability to prioritize, and pay close attention to detail.
Comfortable working in an ever-changing environment where priorities can shift at a fast clip.
Must be willing to work during some weekends and holidays if needed. Extensive international travel >50%.
Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Microsoft Outlook Calendar, CRM Tools such as Company website.
Must hold valid driver’s license and hold a valid passport with the ability to acquire international Visa’s as required.
