The AP/AR Clerk is responsible for supporting the accounting department in general payables receivables, customer billing and payment application, collections, data entry and special projects as assigned.

Customer billing with high degree of accuracy
Verify the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records
Assist and ensure accurate and timely payment processing from customers
File and tally deposits
Perform accounting and clerical functions to support the Accounts Receivable Department through contacting customers to collect on past due balances and providing them statements and copies of invoices
Support Accounts Payable area entering debit and credit information, vouchers, 3-way matching, reports, check processing, and matching payments to invoices
Engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
Contribute to Accounting team environment in which cross functions are assumed as necessary in order to meet department deadlines and objectives
Support Accounting Department and carry out duties as assigned
Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, and managers
High School diploma or equivalent; Associate’s Degree preferred
A minimum of three years of accounting experience preferred
Knowledge of accounting principles and AP/AR processes a plus
Must have an excellent eye for detail; must have the ability to spot issues quickly and be able to resolve in a timely manner
Excellent communication and time management skills
Able to problem solve and handle a variety of issues
Must be self motivated and able to follow direction and able to work independently or as a team
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multi-task projects, establish priorities, work independently and organize effectively
Must be detail orientated and be able to work under pressure
Analytical skills to support solving complex transaction processing issues
